Detoxing from heavy metals can be super dangerous. DMSA, DMPS, CaEDTA, can be very hard on your system and are dangerous. Chelation can be useful after removing a source of exposure like getting amalgams removed. Chelation is not good for chronic exposure.

Taking random supplements like glutathione, NAC, and many others can do a good job of mobilizing metals in your system. The thing is they grab more than actually leave your system. Often times this causes redistribution into vulnerable areas like the brain and tissues.

There is such a thing as detoxing safely and in a way that makes you feel good. That method is just using bentonite clay baths. You can use some other things like edible bentonite clay and ionic minerals. Activated charcoal is also safe and effective. The baths are safe for children.

The apothecary and Root & Rise will remain distinct projects, but they share an appreciation for attention, nature, meaningful ritual, creativity, and the patient work of tending what matters.

The first Root & Rise publication is Benjamin’s book, *The Journey Home*. Over time, the platform will grow through additional publications, media, community, and thoughtful tools for reflection and connection.

Hey everyone, we have been working hard on creating content and putting out videos on detoxing from heavy metals. It is very common to have a heavy metal issue and the topic is very complex.
