Today marks a meaningful transition in our poker community—one league passing the torch to another. Moments like this aren’t just about change, they’re about recognizing the people who built something special from the ground up.

We want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to Stefanie and Jim of MPGA/DEA. What they created was more than just a poker league—it was a place where friendships were formed, competition thrived, and countless memories were made around the tables. Their dedication, integrity, and passion helped shape a community that so many of us are proud to be a part of today.

In the poker world, respect isn’t given lightly—it’s earned. And they’ve earned it in every sense. Not just as a leader, but as people who genuinely cared about the players, the atmosphere, and the experience. That kind of impact doesn’t fade, and it certainly won’t be forgotten.

As we move forward, we do so with a deep appreciation for everything that’s been built. We’re honored to carry that legacy forward and continue growing the community that means so much to all of us.

And while the leadership may be changing, one thing we truly hope stays the same—we hope to still see them at the tables, cards in hand, sharing in the game they helped make so special.

Thank you for everything. This isn’t goodbye—it’s just a new chapter.

AUPL is thankful for the opportunity to expand by adding RTO Sullivan’s to our poker family and all new players that once shared their experiences with MPGA/DEA.

Starting this Sunday 4/19 at 6pm, we hope to continue and build on what Steph and Jim started and welcome RTOs in to the fold.

As we bid adieu to this chapter of our League, I recall the wisdom of knowing when to
hold ‘em and fold’em. The Final Table has been set, and I invite the next league to join us at the venue this Sunday. I extend my best wishes to everyone for a winning hand and a fulfilling life. My gratitude goes to all who have supported this league and made it their home. As we part ways, Jim and I will always cherish the memories.
