They’ve demonized cholesterol for decades—but here’s the truth:

Cholesterol isn’t a death sentence. It’s a healing molecule.
Your body makes it on purpose—for hormones, brain health, digestion, and repairing damaged tissue.
So why the fear? Because Big Pharma found a way to profit off a number.

Did you know?
The ā€œnormalā€ cholesterol range used to be 240 mg/dL.
Then it dropped to 200.
Then 180.

Now people with completely healthy bodies are being told they’re ā€œat riskā€ā€”and handed a statin script without asking why their levels might be elevated.

Statins don’t fix the root cause of inflammation.
They just lower the scoreboard.

Let’s stop blaming the firefighter (cholesterol) for showing up to the fire (inflammation + oxidative stress).
If your cholesterol is ā€œhigh,ā€ it’s time to dig deeper—not panic.

Ways to support healthy cholesterol naturally:
• Eat real, whole foods—especially healthy fats (like grass-fed butter, olive oil, and pasture-raised eggs)
• Ditch seed oils and ultra-processed snacks
• Move your body daily (even walking counts)
• Lower sugar + refined carb intake
• Add heart-supportive nutrients: omega-3s, CoQ10, magnesium, and fiber
• Get enough sleep + manage stress (both are massive for inflammation)

Your body knows what it’s doing. Let’s support it—not suppress it.

Ozempic and similar meds (like Wegovy, GLP1, and Mounjaro) were originally created to treat type 2 diabetes, not a crash diet for weight loss.

But they’ve exploded in popularity, and most people aren’t hearing the full story.

These medications can come with serious side effects:

āœ–ļø Muscle loss alongside fat loss (which can slow your metabolism)
āœ–ļø Digestive shutdown (gastroparesis, nausea, vomiting)
āœ–ļø Suicidal thoughts + mood changes (yes, it’s listed in the insert)
āœ–ļø Gallbladder issues (including gallstones)
āœ–ļø Pancreatitis risk
āœ–ļø Fatigue + nutrient depletion from extreme appetite suppression

šŸ‘‰ And most people regain the weight when they stop.
šŸ‘‰ Long-term safety for weight loss? Still unknown. These weren’t studied that way.

Just to be clear … I’m not a doctor, nor am I claiming to be!
But you don’t need an M.D. to read the insert, look at the research, and ask questions. But, hnestly, your doctor should be explaining all of this to you before writing a prescription.

Your body isn’t broken. It doesn’t need to be hacked.
It needs nourishment, balance, and root-cause support, not a drug that shuts off hunger signals and wrecks your metabolism.

This isn’t about shame or fear, it’s about informed consent and you deserve that!

Follow for more holistic health truth bombs and clean strategies that actually support your body long-term.

šŸ“£ Did you know some cancers aren’t actually cancer? They’re parasites that mimic tumor symptoms 🤯

Dr. Bob also recently told me about a patient who had cysts in her breast and was scheduled for surgery… but it turned out they were parasites! Obviously, it’s not always the case, but cases like this happen!

Some infections, like lung flukes or tapeworms, can appear like tumors and lead to misdiagnosis so it’s ALWAYS best to get a few opinions. But I’m sharing this because I’d take the latter any day, and I want you to know your options!! With one of the top causes of death in the US being medical mistakes, we deserve that clarity!

For the case my doctor told me about, he found them through muscle testing so you can always look for someone reputable in your area! It won’t always show up on a stool sample, esp if it’s not in the gut!

Always consult a healthcare professional if you notice persistent or unusual symptoms but always get a few opinions to confirm! 🫶

Sounds clean and harmless, right?
But the truth is these terms are not the guarantee we’ve been led to believe. šŸ‘€

šŸ‘‰ Fragrance-free = No fragrance added — usually the safer pick āœ… but this still doesn’t make it harmless!
šŸ‘‰ Unscented = No strong scent, but may still include fragrance-masking chemicals that don’t legally have to be listed

Many ā€œunscentedā€ products still contain synthetic ingredients that neutralize odor and those can be just as irritating or hormone-disrupting as labeled fragrance.

šŸ“¦ For example:
• Dove ā€œUnscentedā€ bar soap doesn’t list fragrance but still contains PEGs and masking agents
• Aveeno ā€œUnscentedā€ lotion is marketed as gentle, but still includes synthetic preservatives that can carry hidden scent or disrupt the skin barrier. Don’t get started on the ā€œmake for sensitive skinā€ marketing! That’s for another post!
• Some ā€œunscentedā€ deodorants and wipes? Loaded with mystery masking ingredients

So, no, those terms aren’t automatic green lights.

āœ… What to do instead:
• Look for ā€œfragrance-freeā€ and flip the label to double-check
• Watch for sneaky words like ā€œmasking agent,ā€ ā€œaroma,ā€ or vague chemicals
• Use trusted brands that fully disclose ingredients (Aleavia is one that gets it right! Code themichellewest)

✨ Share if you learned something and follow for clean swaps, truth bombs, and no-BS ingredient education because marketing can be sneaky but you don’t have to fall for it. I also have a guide launching next week to help you eliminate toxins and understand labels!!

Can you see it in my face when I realized?? 😳
Fun fact (actually, not so fun 😬): imitation crab has ZERO crab in it.

It’s usually ground-up white fish, starch, and ā€œflavoringsā€ to make it taste like crab. Add a little red dye and boom … seafood imposter. šŸ˜…

They even use things like sorbitol (a sweetener), carrageenan (a thickener), and sometimes ā€œnaturalā€ flavors to fake that seafood taste. So yeah… not exactly ocean-to-table.

Real crab = protein + minerals + omega-3s.
Fake crab = ultra-processed fish paste with additives to make it taste like the real thing.

If it’s called ā€œimitation,ā€ your body probably knows the difference. šŸ¦€šŸ„“

Tell me in the comments … would you still eat it?

I trust the FDA about as much as I trust gas station sushi on a hot day.🤢

Let’s be clear: the FDA has approved…
• Artificial food dyes linked to hyperactivity
• Asbestos in baby powder (for decades)
• Additives banned in other countries
• ā€œSafe levelsā€ of glyphosate in your food
• And dozens of drugs that were later pulled for causing harm

Approval ≠ safety.
We’ve outsourced our health to systems that don’t prioritize it.
It’s time to start reading labels, asking questions, and trusting your gut—not just the government stamp. I have a guide coming soon that will help you step by step with all of this! Stay tuned!
