Don’t use Flying Blue miles to book Air France flights! 👇

Let me explain because Rove just launched 3 transfer bonuses for October:

1️⃣ 50% bonus to Japan Airlines
2️⃣ 40% bonus to Flying Blue (Air France/KLM)
3️⃣ Up to 35% bonus to Qatar Airways

And there are some really interesting ways to use these bonuses beyond the obvious ones. Let’s start with Air France:

If you transfer Rove miles to Flying Blue and use them to book an Air France-operated flight, you may see significant taxes and fees on top of the miles.

And Flying Blue’s new lowest Business Class pricing is the Light fare (60k miles), which also comes with more restrictions.

But here’s where understanding airline partnerships becomes REALLY useful: Japan Airlines is a partner of Air France, AND you can use JAL miles to book eligible Air France award seats instead. And right now, Rove is giving you a 50% bonus when you transfer to JAL.

Now you might be thinking: “Then what should I do with the 40% Flying Blue bonus?”

Look at Flying Blue’s PARTNERS. And one partner I want you to learn about is Aeromexico.

📝 Specifically MEX-GRU (Brazil) & MTY or MEX-NRT (Japan).

Instead of only searching for flights from your home airport, look at what you could book if you repositioned to Mexico first. That’s literally how I was able to score a great deal to Germany. I flew from my home airport to Mexico first because the better redemption started there.

This is one of the biggest things I want you to learn from following me:

Your points become WAY more useful when you stop assuming your trip has to start at your home airport.

Sometimes the better deal is one positioning flight away.

And if you don’t have Rove yet, they’re currently giving new users 1,500 Rove miles for free, deposited into your account right away.

And don’t transfer anything blindly just because there’s a bonus. Find the flight, confirm the award availability, compare your options, and THEN transfer your miles.

Rove just dropped 3 HUGE transfer bonuses for October 👀

✈️ 50% bonus to Japan Airlines
✈️ 40% bonus to Flying Blue
✈️ Up to 35% bonus to Qatar Airways

For Qatar Airways, the bonus gets bigger depending on how many miles you transfer.

- Transfer up to 49,999 Rove miles → get 15% extra
- Transfer 50,000–99,999 → get 25% extra
- Transfer 100,000+ → get 35% extra

And if you’ve never heard of Rove, it’s a rewards program that lets you earn transferable miles without opening another credit card.

Even better, new users can start with 1,500 Rove miles for free!

And I got the best seat on the plane 🥳🥨

Condor is actually one of Lufthansa’s biggest German competitors, especially on long haul routes, and it has been pushing hard to compete with the larger airline groups in Germany.

And I think their Business Class seats are actually BETTER 👀

I was in Condor’s Prime Seat on the A330neo, which is basically the most premium seat in their Business Class cabin.

There are only four of them, all in the front row, and they come with:

✅ extra space
✅ a larger bed
✅ a 24-inch 4K screen
✅ an opposite “visitor” seat
✅ pajamas
✅ a snack basket
✅ included Wi-Fi

A flight like this can cost more than €4,000 cash.

I paid 70,000 points + about $79 out of pocket (plus $180 for the seat upgrade).

Please watch this before you use another Amex Platinum benefit 🚫

The Amex Platinum is an expensive card, so if you have it, make sure you’re actually using the benefits that can help offset the annual fee.

But be careful, because each benefit has its own rules and the details really matter.

Please promise me you’ll always read the terms & conditions before using an offer or credit.

And if you’re ever unsure, I’m here to help. I’ve made my share of mistakes too, trust me! 🙏🏻

And if this is your first time here 👋 Hi, I’m Julia, and I share credit card tips to help you earn points and redeem them for luxury travel. Feel free to follow along for more content like this!

Amex Platinum Business Holders: There’s a HIDDEN $50 dining credit you should be using every quarter!

(You need to activate this benefit before using)

Some people just use it at Starbucks located inside a Hilton hotel and get free coffee every quarter!

🚨 This transaction needs to be coded as HILTON. So make sure you call the hotel and ask.

Run, because today, September 26th, you can earn over 25k Amex or Bilt** points on a single purchase.

💬 Comment RAKUTEN to claim your 5,000 bonus points

When you ask me how I keep earning points to fund my Business and First Class flights 👉 this is one of the strategies I use.

**If you don’t have Bilt status (at least Silver), I highly recommend choosing Amex points as your payout method on Rakuten, since the transfer ratio for non-status holders is not 1:1.

What these points can actually do?
Amex and Bilt points are flexible, and that is what makes them worth chasing. You move them to airline and hotel partners and book real trips with them.

I had the pleasure of joining citizenM and Marriott Bonvoy to celebrate the opening of the new citizenM Georgetown.

The hotel officially opened this June, right in one of DC’s most recognizable neighborhoods, and the opening celebration was such a beautiful introduction to the property and the city.

I hadn’t been to Washington since 2010, and I’m already ready to come back.

Thank you citizenM Hotels and Marriott Bonvoy for having me. Such a lovely night to be part of 🩵

LAST CALL 🚨 You only have TWO MORE DAYS to take advantage of the 30% Amex transfer bonus to Avios.

Here are a few more ways you could use it:

1️⃣ New York or Miami → São Paulo in Business Class: 55k Finnair Avios (≈ 43k Amex points with the 30% bonus). Operated by American Airlines

Tip: search for partner award space on Alaska (easier with calendar). If you find availability, you can contact Finnair to book it. You can move Avios between British Airways and Finnair for free (account must be 30 days or older).

2️⃣ New York → Tokyo in First Class: 159k British Airways Avios (≈ 123k Amex points with the bonus). Operated by Japan Airlines

3️⃣ Miami → Buenos Aires in Business Class
55k Finnair Avios: ≈ 43k Amex points with the bonus. Operated by American Airlines (same process as Sao Paulo, check on Alaska - contact Finnair to book).

4️⃣ Madrid → Hong Kong in Business Class
72.5k Finnair Avios. (≈ 56k Amex points with the bonus). Operated by Cathay Pacific

One important reminder: don’t transfer points just because there’s a bonus.

Transfers are generally irreversible, and award availability can disappear. Have a specific redemption in mind, confirm availability, and make sure the transfer actually makes sense for your travel plans.

And don’t forget to check my other videos showing you how to book:

- Qatar QSuites
- Iberia to Spain
- British Airways to London

At this point, you have plenty of options for putting your points to work ✈️
