one last spray tan in the place where, in a weird way, it all started. 🥲

I spent over 6 years of my life inside this tanning salon. I worked here. I owned it. I failed here. I met my now-fiancé here. And somewhere in the middle of one of the hardest chapters, with a lot of confidence from him when I didn’t necessarily have it myself, I started Afterglow.

Then, somehow, I found myself back here. this time renting a little shared space because Afterglow had grown beyond what I could do mobile. Funny how life brings you back to places just long enough to see them differently.

This salon has been part of so many versions of me, but maybe the biggest thing it taught me is that you can love something, be grateful for everything it gave you & still know when it’s time to let it go.🤍

I’ll always be grateful for these walls, the lessons I learned the hard way & the business that came to life because I was brave enough to try again. 🥹 i cannot WAIT to welcome you into the new Afterglow space and start making a whole new set of memories with you!

Starting September 1st, Afterglow Sunless is officially moving inside Charly Gills 🤍

Getting to bring Afterglow back to the community that raised me feels pretty damn special but I might be most excited to be a little closer + a whole lot more convenient for so many of my day 1s who have supported me from the very beginning.

I’ve been looking for this change & The Village Salon with Charly just feels right. We’ve known each other for years and both thrive on making you feel (and look) like the best version of yourself!

The Village area is walkable, community-driven, & surrounded by some of the best sips + eats in the county. Come get your tan, grab a coffee or a bite, wander around a little.. make a whole thing out of it!

❣️a little housekeeping: ALL studio appointments beginning September 1st will take place at our new Powhatan location inside The Village Salon. If you already have a studio appointment booked for September or beyond, I’ll also be reaching out directly to make sure you have all the updated details!

For this engagement session, we intentionally went *just a touch deeper* with her color than we normally would. Not because darker = better, but because I knew the extra depth would translate beautifully through the camera.
