"it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!" So fun to see the flurry of construction activity in MidTowne...I can't wait to start on the last three lots at the other end of this street! I love all the color, texture, variety and simplicity of traditional house forms along the street scape...and, of course, that awesome Texas sky!!! :-)

When this small cottage in MidTowne is completed it will live like a large castle on the inside!...I love how the simple exterior sets you up for a grand surprise after you walk through the front door. 😉

This makes too much sense not to post...I've never been a fan of upper cabinets in a kitchen and have always suggested not to include them...and from now on...I'll say "No upper cabs , no lower cabs...just a bunch o' drawers and a bunch o' windows!" ;-)
Why You Should Choose Drawers Over Cabinets in Your Kitchen The typical American kitchen has lower cabinets with doors. This is a terrible idea.

Here's a few of my designs currently under construction...a couple more currently in the permit process and a couple more still on the drawing board...soon my little village will be complete!!! 🙂

A wonderful story about working with refugee youth at Årås mill in Sweden. I consider this location one of the most beautiful places in the world. I had the pleasure of working and learning here in the Summer of 2015 with the friendliest participants and the finest instructors...Gösta, Per-Anders and Leif...I see each of you in the video and I'm so happy to see you are all still contributing your great expertise and labor to Åras...I look forward to a time when I can work with you again...maybe Summer 2017! ;-)
