I haven’t had my hair this long in A G E S but somehow my brain still thinks I look like this all the time. 🦁🧠 Today my cheap wigs and I went out to enjoy the beautiful Wisconsin weather and take some pictures so I could practice some of the lighting and editing tricks we learned from our guest educator yesterday! I didn’t love most of the photos but I think I made a few look kinda cool. 🤓 Swipe thru ➡️ for the side by side comparison of pre- and post-editing.... as y’all can tell I don’t know how to do much more than fiddle with brightness and saturation but I’m working on it! 😅 Maybe next time I’ll figure out how to blur those only-partially-glued-down eyebrow tails.

I had so much fun doing this sort of mohawk pixie on my awesome friend ! I didn’t get a before picture (🤦) but swipe thru➡️ to see the comparison between the first time I (tried to) cut her hair vs. now. Can’t wait to get her back in my chair and see what we can come up with next time! 😸

Shout out to the one and only for letting me give her ten miles of hair a trim! I know it was emotionally challenging to part with that inch and a half of split ends, but stay strong! Time heals (almost) all, and Botanical Repair heals everything else. 👩🏻‍⚕️

First I washed her hair with the botanical repair 💙 strengthening shampoo and conditioner. Then, we did a square one length to even out the perimeter, followed by some (very!) long layers to give her ends some movement without sacrificing length. I added pretty much a little bit of everything to style her: nutriplenish 🌺 leave-in to nourish and detangle; volumizing tonic 🌼 at the roots to bulk up the braids; a little of my favorite, phomollient ☁️ to give her mid lengths some body and shine; and some speed of light ⚡️ blow-dry accelerator spray so I could get her out of my chair by the time I had to go home. 😸
