800-Year-Old Saint’s Relic Stolen—and Found!

A major investigation in the Czech Republic reached a breakthrough today, May 14, 2026, as police detained a 35-year-old man suspected of stealing a revered 800-year-old relic. The item, believed to be the skull of Saint Zdislava of Lemberk, was snatched from its display at the Saint Lawrence and Saint Zdislava basilica in Jablonné v Podještědí earlier this week.
