How We Made Her Softer—Without Changing Who She Is ❤️ She wanted a change—but she still wanted to look like HERSELF. ❤️ C...

She hadn't cut her hair in almost FOUR YEARS. And when her husband saw what we did...“WOW! You look amazing!” ❤️ Meet Lori Ann.

She and her husband live in Alaska, but circumstances brought them to Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic.

Then an email from us happened to land in Lori Ann's inbox.

She'd talked to her husband about getting a makeover for years, but it had never happened.

This time she thought: What are the chances? We're only here until Saturday. The worst they can tell me is they're booked.

So she took the chance.

And wouldn't you know it—we had an opening!

Lori Ann arrived with hair nearly to her backside that hadn't even been trimmed in about four years.

But underneath all that hair was a woman with creativity, individuality and a strength all her own.

Jamie created a beautiful dimensional balayage and we began bringing the woman Lori Ann felt like on the INSIDE forward.

Meet Ann! After years working as a lawyer, Ann recently retired and moved to Minneapolis. A friend in Arizona heard she was moving here and immediately told her there was something she needed to do:

“You can get a makeover!”

Ann didn't really know what that meant. 😄

But she took the chance.

She arrived with a grown-out haircut, a little nervous about being on camera, and especially apprehensive about makeup. She rarely wears it and has had to be very careful about products because of allergies.

But once we started talking about who Ann is NOW—not who she had to be professionally for all those years—the direction became clear.

Softer. Freer. Feminine. Pretty.

And then she did the thing that can sometimes be the hardest part of a makeover:

She let go and let us choose.

Keep the gray… or change it? 🤔 That was one of the big questions when Kathy came to MAKEOVERGUY. And as you can see, this transformation became about much more than simply changing a hair color.

At just 5'0", Kathy also wanted help understanding what worked for her petite proportions — from her hair and makeup to color, clothing and overall style.

Christopher looked at the whole woman, not just the gray hair.
