✨ Throwback Thursday ✨

This picture takes me waaayyy back to a moment I won’t forget.

About 15 years ago, I was at Barnes & Noble browsing the spiritual books, looking for inspiration and direction in my life. I spent several minutes scanning the shelves, pulling books out, reading the backs, and honestly… nothing was standing out. Feeling a little disappointed, I decided to leave the section.

As I was walking away, I suddenly heard a thud behind me.

I turned around, and there, lying in the middle of the aisle, was a single book.

I picked it up, and the first thing I noticed was the most beautiful soft pink leather cover. Then I looked at the title:

Finding Peace in His Presence.

The beauty of the book and those words stopped me in my tracks.

They were exactly what my heart needed in that season, and I knew they were just for me.

Some people might call it coincidence. I don’t.

To this day, I still remember that moment and how seen I felt. God has a beautiful way of reminding us that He knows exactly where we are and exactly what we need—even when we’re simply wandering through a bookstore looking for a little hope. OUR GOD IS INCREDIBLY PERSONAL.

I’ve held onto this book ever since, not just because of what it says, but because of the reminder it carries: peace isn’t something we have to chase. It’s found in His presence— although the words inside have been just what I’ve needed on sooo many days!

The cover of this book is peeling, the corners are curling and the pages are bent— I don’t have it in me to get a new copy. This is the book God literally dropped in my lap, and it’s journeyed with me the last 15 years through all the ups and downs.

For the past 8 years, Bri has been helping create a welcoming experience for every guest who visits our salon. From scheduling appointments to keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, she truly does it all—and always with a smile.

Outside of the salon, Bri loves spending time with her husband of nearly 10 years and their sweet 4-year-old daughter. She’s a fan of shopping, iced lattes, girls’ days, and making memories with the people she loves.

Kindness and genuine connection are at the heart of everything Bri does, and we’re so thankful she’s part of our team. She helps make Danae’s on 4th feel like home, and we honestly couldn’t do it without her. ❤️
