www.warriorpoetmt.com - Art, History, Politics, Knives, and Philosophy. Basically, everything that amplifies and uplift the Stoic Heart.
Warrior Poet is all about that dualism in mankind that makes him great. Capable in the same body of producing incredible violence but also unspeakable beauty. That it is these two natures and how we develop ourselves between them that tempers us into creatures
worthy of our humanity. In a simple word its about “rectitude.”

I love this story!
It teaches us the simple lesson that leaders are not the ones running around looking for the most advantageous place for themselves. No, they are the ones who choose to dig in where they are at and by doing so create a safe place for others to rally to. Communities form around leaders and leaders are simply those who decide to stop being afraid and to teach others by their example.
As this story goes, the infantryman tells the tanker to pull in behind him because "... this is as far as the bastards are going." Leaders make "foolhardy" statements like this because they sense that something bigger is going on. So, unlike the rest of humanity who holds their heads to the ground, straining to hear some tremor of a positive movement; these individuals look up (Ps. 121:1-2). While looking up they find a sense of what they need. This holy sense is called hope, and when man finds it they are inevitably led to duty.
So, with a little faith (the duty that comes from hope), that leader resigns himself to the notion that while he could not pick the circumstances of the fight he is now involved in, he can plant a standard where one never flew.
Truth: 2020 was one of the greatest gifts we have been given. It was an opportunity to stop being afraid and build a real community. I hope you took advantage of it. If not, you still have a few weeks left.

Worth reading. The title is deceptive, it's actually talking about certain Solomon Islands government officials attempt to regulate Facebook because too much free speech is occurring that is "dangerous." Here is a taste:
“The use of the internet now in Solomon Islands needs to be properly regulated to safeguard our young people from harmful content … even young kids are able to download harmful stuff from the internet.”
When you read the article you find that the content they are talking about is not images or video, but "speech content." If your real desire is to keep young kids away from harmful content why not looking into the host of other media outlets that deal in much racier content (deviant, anti-social, and misogynous violence). Think for a second, has history not taught us that the greatest villains and tyrants have come to the forum floor crying "oh but the children."
The article attempts to cite the growing connection between China and the Solomon Islands as the potential cause of many of their officials seeking these measures. This is probably partly true, but not the primary reason. What I am hinting at is that it is no longer as simple as China "bad" America "good;" if it ever was.
What is probably closer to the truth is that this is a smaller trial run at something intended for larger implementation later.
Lesson to be learned: Support the free internet while you can. Create independent though by becoming a blogger and support others who do. Find and contribute to independent small news outlets. Together we can protect this wonderful miracle that is the internet from become a privately owned global propaganda outlet.
Finally, keep your heads up so that your hearts stays focused.

I love how poetry and comedy have this amazing ability to highlight what we all feel is true but can't own up to and really put into words. Just ran across this bit by comedian Michael Connell called "Consumer Zombie Wasteland." After listening to it you might just look around more often and realize your starring in a zombie apocalypse film and didn't realize it.

My nephew, EZra, is a special little guy in many ways and he has once again surprised me by going into business for himself at age 7. He took money he had been saving from his past birthdays and went out and bought two high quality gum ball machines and is out today finally getting to give the business pitch, that he has been practicing for several weeks, to get his gum ball machine in a local business owners store. HE ACTUAL SCHEDULED AND IS MEETING THEM TODAY IN PERSON TO MAKE THE PITCH! How cool and grown up is that. When I asked him what he would do with the money he got from the machines he told me, very confidently, that he would "buy more machines." This was no small purchase as the machines costed him several hundred dollars. Image what a kid his age could have done with that type of money besides invest it. This is education at its finest and thank you Ezra for teaching US how to risk great things at whatever level we are at. Please like his page and follow this young entrepreneur's story and encourage him as he bootstraps his vending machine empire.
The machines went together very easily. We got out price and product stickers on and our first appointment is at 2pm tomorrow for placement! Machines are from Candymachinescom Ezra is super excited!
