For anyone wondering as I have had a few questions-
Yes, the salon is still located at 417-14th Street in Moline. We have been in this location for 11yrs.
We are now a one-chair Hair Salon with Sarah Thompson as our Hair Stylist.
Her number for scheduling is in our “about” info.
I, Kristin Papalia, still own Lillee Leighton Salon, but I retired from Hair Styling a year ago. I now have a retail shop, Arlo & Elm, in the front of our building and the salon is located in the back half:)

I downsized Lillee Leighton Salon, after retiring, to a one-chair suite, this summer. I then added my retail business to the front of our building. Lillee Leighton received a fresh, new look to help match the vibe of Arlo & Elm. I couldn’t be more pleased with how both spaces turned out. Now I get to have both my small businesses under the same roof, in a building I love, and work with Sarah again, also:) Thank you all for your support and understanding this summer as I worked to create this new space.

Hey Everyone! Many of you have already seen the changes I’ve made with the salon as we downsize and add my retail shop Arlo & Elm to the front of the building. It has been a fun and exciting time:) I still have a bit more to do. However, Lillee Leighton Salon has continued to be in operation the entire time thanks to Sarah and her busy schedule. We appreciate your patience this summer during the transition/remodel. We are looking forward to new and exciting times this Sept once both shops are finished. Thank you all so much for your support and encouragement this summer. It makes me so happy to have Sarah wanting to share this journey with me which has allowed me to be able to keep my salon open and also bring my other small business to downtown Moline. Here is the latest info on Arlo & Elm-

Many have been asking so here it is! This is of course IF everything continues to come together in a timely manner.
SEPT 19th will be OPENING DAY for our shop at 417-14th Street in downtown Moline.
However, we are a tiny shop so to see everyone at any point, any time, within Sept 19th-21st would be awesome! Operation Hours will be-
Thurs & Fri 11am-5pm
Sat 10am-3pm
Your support would mean so much to me as my family and I have been working really hard to bring you what I hope will be a unique and fun shopping experience in downtown Moline.

ANNOUNCEMENT-
I’m so excited (and a little nervous) to announce that my retail shop, Arlo & Elm, will be coming to downtown Moline as of Sept 2024 to 417 14th Street.

Arlo & Elm will finally have its very own brick and mortar location!!! Now that I’ve been retired from Hairstyling for a year, I plan to downsize Lillee Leighton Salon to a one-chair salon. My co-worker Sarah will continue to rent a chair from me at Lillee. Lillee Leighton will be downsized and go through decorative changes. With a divider put into the center of the building I will then move Arlo & Elm into the front half. It will be ran by me and to start off the shop will be open Thurs-Sat. I plan to keep our website running for out of town shoppers and to allow shopper to still shop all week, even when we are closed. I’m limiting the days we are open to start out so I can ease into things with my chronic health issues. I couldn’t be more excited to take this leap though! It’s definitely a business that fits my life better and is low impact on my health. I’ve also lived in Moline almost my entire life and I cannot wait to bring this shopping experience to our downtown. Lillee Leighton will celebrate 15yrs of business downtown right as we add in Arlo & Elm. It’s gonna be so neat to have both my businesses under the same roof! As my family, friends, social media friends, salon guests, and Arlo shoppers I want to ask for your support in this new adventure. I hope you will enjoy Arlo & Elm as much as I LOVE curating the merchandise for it and creating this new shopping experience for the Quad Cities❤️

Good Morning! For those who don't already know, after 24yrs in the industry, I've decided to RETIRE as of Aug 1st:)
My career as a Cosmetologist is actually at an all-time high....I LOVE our building, LOVE the salon, LOVE my co-workers, LOVE being a Hairstylist, and LOVE LOVE LOVE my guests. It makes it so very strange to have made this decision. However, due to chronic health issues and having the coolest seven year old ever, I've decided it's time to rest, hopefully heal more, and focus on my husband and child.
For anyone on here who has sat in my salon chair at one point or another in my career, I would just like to say a really big THANK YOU for making my career a success all these years!
:):):) It's been such a fun ride! Though I'm a bit freaked out to give up this part of me....basically an identity I've had since I was 19...I'm also really hopeful and excited for this next chapter in life and what it may hold.
