As some may know and many may not but here is a little back story. I was adopted at birth by a WONDERFUL family who gave me the best life one that most kids wished for and I am forever grateful for my mom and dad to raise me as their own and provide me with every opportunity in life. But growing up something always felt missing, I was a Hispanic child raised in a white home, I didn’t speak Spanish and at times that really bothered me. I have always wondered and dreamed of what my biological family was like and all the questions that came with being adopted, like why didn’t they love
Me enough, why did they put me up for adoption and all kinds of other questions. I think growing up I came up with every scenario I possibly could in my head and when I hit my adult years I made a decision to not search for them. It mainly came out a place of fear. I was scared to know the truth and I also didn’t want hurt my parents feelings by possibly meeting my biological family. But as years went on I had this burning desire to finally take a DNA test and go through with the search, the what ifs just were not good enough, I had to know. I finally took a DNA test after it sat on my kitchen counter for about two years and a month after I started getting emails with results. To make a super LONG story short I found out many details that I thought I knew to be completely inaccurate and I found out a lot of new information that I was scared of. But it ultimately ended with finding out I had several siblings all taken by DCFS and that my biological father is probably somewhere in Mexico and that my biological mother was murdered in cold blood in 2015. I was able to locate her sister my biological aunt, who is currently stuck in the vicious cycle of addiction and homelessness. Now if you have followed my journey you would know that I myself feel into addiction but I’m currently in recovery and that is what got me started with my ministry Louisiana Street Barber. I’ve always wondered why God put me on this certain path. But after talking back and forth with my biological aunt we have decided that we are going to help her relocate from Texas to Louisiana to get her into treatment and sober living and so on. I know I’m taking a huge risk I know my feelings are on the line, but it feels right. So stay tuned for the next part of my adventure ❤️💪 below I have added the only picture I have of my biological mother.
Does ANYONE have deer meat that a family in need can have?! They are GENUINELY hungry and they work. The main financial bread winner has cancer ! If you have ANY meat at all please reach out. Thank you
Does anyone know of some cash paying jobs within the Monroe,Calhoun areas?? My friend is battling breast cancer and is under going numerous treatments in Shreveport and sometime Texas. She is also working as a farm hand picking and planting in the heat and its keeping her more sick than she already is. She is the soul provider for her grandkids and bills dont stop coming. Plz if anyone can think of anything let me know she is on the verge of loosing everything she has worked so hard for!!! Or if you'd like to donate to her I can put you directly in contact with her. She has had a couple people get her hopes up in a job and nothing so far. She is hard working, honest, dependable and an amazing woman! Thanks in advance
🧩AUTISM & SENSORY-SPECIFIC NEED - SCHOOL STARTS TOMORROW & I NEED A LITTLE HELP! 🧩
We have a sweet little boy with autism who is very sensory-specific, especially when it comes to COLORS. His family thought they had a little more time to get everything together for school, but school starts TOMORROW, and he is still in need of a few things:
Boys shoes — black on black size 6 Wide or 7
BLACK backpack
Boys size 18/20 BLACK shorts
Boys size 18/20 BLACK T-shirts
The color really does matter. Those of us who love a child with autism or sensory needs understand that something that may seem small to someone else can be a BIG deal for them. For this little guy, one of those things is color.
Momma is caring for three children with special needs and isn’t able to work right now. Dad works hard to provide for his family, but sometimes even when you’re doing everything you can, all the ends just don’t meet.
They weren’t expecting school to be here this quickly, so we’re trying to rally around this family TODAY and make sure this little boy has what he needs to walk into school tomorrow feeling comfortable and ready.
If ANYONE can help with even ONE ITEM, please reach out to me here! New or gently used in good condition is absolutely fine. And if you can’t help, PLEASE SHARE, SHARE, SHARE! Someone on your friends list may have exactly what he needs. It takes a village, y’all. Let’s be his village today.
