Ran across a skincare ad from a company where all the pictures showed 20-somethings with flawless skin... their post said something like, "every wrinkle is a celebration of a life well-lived" or some such hogwash... I was tempted to comment under it,

"Obviously written by someone who has no wrinkles yet. No one loves their wrinkles. We love that we were allowed to grow old, but that doesn't mean we want to look it!"

Am I right? Or am I right?

Celebrate life... of course! Celebrate wrinkles? Never!!

I'm not buying into this whole "aging gracefully" movement, are you?

We've all heard how we should accept the fact that we're old and just give in to "aging gracefully", right? How wrinkles are beautiful and gray hair is your silver crown, etc., etc.

What? Sorry, not me!

Don't get me wrong, I am proud of my age and am thankful and grateful for every year the Good Lord's given me. And I do feel that I have gained wisdom and love for myself that I never had as a younger woman.

But being wise and wonderful and accepting ourselves doesn't mean we have to go around looking older than we have to. We don't have to just give up on the mature skin issues we see in that mirror each morning.

So, what can we do to feel and look our most vibrant selves?
