We’re honored to share a special crab pot Christmas tree sponsored by Carteret Health Care and decorated in Brittany Kelley’s memory for Let’s Make Pink Just a Color. Every ribbon and light represents our mission to support local families facing breast cancer and to keep Brittany’s beautiful spirit shining.

You can see the tree this weekend at the Gingerbread Festival at the Crystal Coast Civic Center!

We’re still blown away by this year’s Let’s Make Pink Just a Color 5K & Fun Run/Walk.

More than 700 people came together at The Sports Center of Morehead to walk, run, and celebrate strength, hope, and community, and together, we raised an incredible $100,000 for local families affected by breast cancer. Every dollar stays right here in Carteret County to help provide chemotherapy port shirts, care packages, weekend getaways, and other support for those undergoing treatment.

This year’s event was held in honor of Brittany Kelley, whose heart and vision started it all. Her goal was simple but powerful: to make pink just a color by turning awareness into action.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and made the day a success with their presence. You make this community something truly special.

Stay tuned for next year’s race date and more community initiatives to come, we’re just getting started.

It’s here Let’s Make Pink Just a Color weekend has arrived! Join us tonight, Friday, October 17th, from 5:00–6:30 PM at The Sports Center of Morehead for early check-in and skip the lines on race day.

🎁 Swag Bags & Raffles
The first 200 registrants will receive a swag bag (while supplies last), and raffle items will be available tonight so bring some cash and grab your tickets early to support this incredible cause.

👕 T-Shirts
All T-shirt sales from this point forward will be in-person only and available until sold out. THey can be picked up tonight and Sunday

🚗 Race Day Reminders
• Check-in opens Sunday from 2:00–3:00 PM before the race begins at 3:00 PM
• Leave pets at home the course will be too crowded for dogs this year
• Carpool if you can! Parking is limited and unavailable in The Sports Center lot, but attendants will be directing traffic nearby
• Wear pink! Let’s fill the streets with pink
