I went straight back to the front yard of my grandparents home on Foliage Drive, my mom washing her little Ford Probe GT while we karaoke’d to a Jewel cassette. I must’ve been 4 years old, clutching a bundle of white clovers with a head full of imagination. Safe. Seen. Loved.
That girl still lives in me. She’s the reason behind my creativity, the reason I chase wonder, the reason I refuse to live a life that isn’t full of just that. The little things.
Inner child work isn’t just about healing old wounds. It’s about asking: what did that little version of you love? what did they crave? what did they deserve that you still haven’t given them?
Because here’s the truth—no one else is coming to give it to them. That’s your job now. 🤍
