Grant Gill Furniture

Sometimes, simple is better.

For this closet project, we focused on clean lines, functional storage, and a timeless layout that makes the most of every inch without overcomplicating the space.

Thoughtful cabinetry doesn’t always have to be elaborate to make an impact. Sometimes the best design is the one that feels effortless, organized, and built to work beautifully for everyday life.

A little color, a lot of character.

These custom sliding barn doors bring a beautiful mix of function and personality to this primary suite. The forest green finish paired with warm brass hardware creates a timeless, elevated look that ties in perfectly with the surrounding space.

Dream pantry, anyone?

One of our favorite parts of custom cabinetry is helping homeowners create spaces that are both beautiful and highly functional. Whether your dream pantry includes floor-to-ceiling storage, dedicated appliance space, pull-out shelves, organized snack zones, or a place for everything behind closed doors, custom cabinetry makes it possible.

No two families use their kitchens the same way, which is why we believe your pantry should be designed around how you actually live.

What would your dream pantry include?

Cabinets are one of the hardest-working features in your home, and one of the investments that can add lasting value for years to come.

Beyond providing storage, well-designed cabinetry improves functionality, maximizes space, and creates a custom feel that elevates the entire home. Whether you're building, renovating, or simply updating a space, quality cabinetry is an investment in both your daily life and your home's long-term value.

A beautiful space is important, but for growing families, functionality matters just as much.
When designing custom cabinetry, we often recommend features that make everyday life easier, such as:

• Deep drawers for pots, pans, and oversized kitchen essentials
• Pull-out trash and recycling bins to keep clutter out of sight
• Dedicated pantry storage for snacks, lunch supplies, and bulk items
• Charging drawers to keep devices organized and off countertops
• Built-in mudroom storage for backpacks, shoes, and sports gear
• Adjustable shelving that can evolve as your family's needs change

The best cabinetry doesn't just look good on install day. It continues to serve your family well for years to come.
What feature would make the biggest difference in your home?

Closets have become so much more than a place to store clothes. In 2026, homeowners are looking for spaces that feel organized, intentional, and customized to the way they live.

Some of the most requested closet features we're seeing include:
• Built-in drawer systems for a clean, streamlined look
• Adjustable shelving that can evolve with changing storage needs
• Dedicated shoe storage and display shelving
• Integrated lighting that makes every item easy to find
• Jewelry drawers and accessory organizers
• Double hanging sections to maximize vertical space
• Hidden hampers to keep laundry out of sight
• Islands with additional storage and folding space

The best closet designs aren't just beautiful - they're functional, personalized, and designed to make everyday routines a little easier.

When planning custom cabinetry, one of the biggest decisions you'll make is choosing the right wood species.

Different woods offer different looks, grain patterns, durability levels, and finishing options. While paint can create a consistent appearance across species, natural wood finishes allow each species' unique character to shine.

A few popular options include:
• White Oak – Known for its durability, subtle grain pattern, and timeless appeal.
• Walnut – Rich, warm tones with striking natural variation.
• Maple – Smooth, clean grain that works beautifully in both modern and traditional spaces.
• Cherry – Develops a deeper, richer color over time.
• Hickory – Distinctive grain patterns and natural character for a more rustic feel.

The best choice depends on your design style, lifestyle, and how you want the finished space to look and feel.

The details most people never notice are often the ones that make the biggest impact.

The way a drawer glides smoothly. The precision of the cabinet alignment. The thoughtful storage hidden behind a door.

Anyone can see the finished product. What sets custom craftsmanship apart is the care, planning, and attention to detail behind it.
