8 years ago I started my yoga journey and it’s been very inconsistent but I ALWAYS find myself going back to it. I started yoga because I needed an outlet outside of doing hair + something that could calm me down.

After finding something that helped regulate my emotions and anxiety, I fell in love with it. So much that I went into training to become a certified yoga instructor. I made so many friends along the way and I just honestly wanted to gain more knowledge. After teaching 3x I realized I really just wanted to be a student but educate in hair rather than yoga. I wanted yoga to be my safe space where I could get away from it all. 💯

I’ve been to so many studios, made many friends, and completely changed my lifestyle from 8 years ago. There’s times where I don’t do yoga for 6 months to a year but everytime I go back to it I always ask myself WHYYYYYY did I leave. I took my first slow yin class today and it was just what I needed. I am on the go ALL the time and I just needed to relax more than anything. Normalize taking care of yourself in the beauty industry. You deserve it. ❤️
