Things I dream about… outdoor edition.
For me, it’s never about one beautiful feature. It’s the way natural stone, copper, ironwork, water, hydrangeas, living privacy fences, and tucked-away courtyards all work together to create a space that feels collected, timeless, and lived in.
Which outdoor detail has your heart?
For 10 years, I dreamed about owning this 1968 home. Every time we drove by, I imagined what it could become. When it finally came on the market, my husband looked at me and said, “Let’s do it.”
Since then, we’ve been slowly transforming it into the Charleston-inspired home we’d always envisioned—one wallpaper project, estate sale find, DIY, and collected piece at a time.
If you love timeless homes, decorating with character instead of trends, Facebook Marketplace treasures, antiques, and seeing what’s possible with an older home, you’re in the right place.
Welcome to The Hill House. Around here, we make the design decisions together.
Follow along—there’s so much more to come.
I drove an hour for this Facebook Marketplace find… and it was worth every mile.
One of my favorite parts of decorating our 1968 Hill House is mixing vintage finds with timeless pieces to create a home that feels collected over time.
Now I need your opinion! I love this runner in both hallways, so which one should it stay in? Vote for Hallway 1 or Hallway 2 in the comments.
I always say the Hill House Design Team helps make these decisions, so don’t leave me hanging! 🤎
I couldn’t figure out what this bathroom was missing… until I could.
One wallpaper decision completely transformed this space.
Welcome to the Hill House, our 1968 home that we dreamed about owning for 10 years before it finally became ours. Around here, we tackle DIY projects, wallpaper, upholstery, estate sale finds, and timeless design one room at a time.
The best part? We design together. I love hearing your opinions, sharing the process, and bringing you along for every decision.
If that sounds like your kind of home, I’d love to have you here.

This isn’t just a renovation—it’s a dream that’s been years in the making.
I’ve been completely obsessed with this house for as long as I can remember. For years, I’d say, “I wish we could own that home.” When it finally went on the market, my sweet husband said, “Okay, let’s do it.”
After nearly a decade of hoping, this 1968 home finally became ours. We didn’t rush to change it. Instead, we’ve taken our time bringing it back to life—honoring its character while layering in wallpaper, antiques, collected pieces, and a touch of Charleston-inspired charm.
If you love old homes, thoughtful renovations, timeless design, and watching a space evolve one room at a time, I’d love to have you here.
Which transformation is your favorite? 🤍
I have officially accepted that I can’t leave well enough alone. 😂
This chair and ottoman were already beautiful… but I couldn’t stop picturing green piping. So back to the upholsterer they went!
Sometimes it’s the smallest detail that makes something feel just right. Tell me… would you have left it as it was, or are you the type to keep tweaking until it’s exactly how you envisioned it?
Everything doesn’t have to match. It just has to make you happy. That’s how homes become personal, collected, and full of joy. If you love decorating, DIY, wallpaper, and estate sale finds, I think you’ll feel right at home here. 🤍
