I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating a birthday with my bestie at Cats: The Jellicle Ball in Times Square, and it was nothing short of spectacular. This reimagined production brought a fresh, electrifying energy to a classic, blending the iconic music and storytelling with the fierce artistry of ballroom culture.

One of the standout elements of the show was the ballroom battling—it was thrilling, vibrant, and completely captivating. The performers brought such passion, precision, and attitude to the stage that it felt like more than a performance; it was an experience. Every number pulsed with life, and the audience could feel the energy in every beat—such a perfect way to celebrate a special occasion.

The cast was phenomenal, featuring truly legendary talent. André De Shields as Old Deuteronomy delivered a powerful and unforgettable performance, full of presence and gravitas. Knowing that Law  Roach was a co-producer only added to the sense that this production was something truly special and thoughtfully crafted.
