Long Island Care Center celebrated Grandparents’ Day with a special visit from students from The Shield Institute, bringing generations together for an afternoon of coloring, conversation, smiles, and connection.

Our Recreation Director, Marseil, was joined by The Shield Institute’s Fatma Yilmaz, School Social Worker, and Tarsy Gonzales, Transition Coordinator, to help make this meaningful day possible.

Welcoming the New Year with tradition, reflection, and connection 💛 Rosh Hashanah

Long Island Care Center was honored to welcome Alex as he shared the beautiful tradition of blowing the shofar in celebration of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, with our Jewish residents.

The sound of the shofar is a meaningful reminder of renewal, hope, and new beginnings. We are proud to celebrate the diverse cultures, traditions, and faiths that make our community so special.
