“When all colors are stripped away, and every unnecessary sound fades into silence, what remains is the most primal dialogue between the body and the world. Jill Kortleve stands in the center of that light, like a record yet to be played—stillness gathering slowly in the fine grooves, waiting for the first stroke. Photographer Yulia Gorbachenko says that sound is a presence that cannot be retouched. When you strip everything away, leaving only space and honest light, what remains is a person as they truly are.
Jill Kortleve, a Dutch midsize model, is one of the pioneers who broke through the fashion industry’s barriers with her figure. As a body positive activist，She never catered to anyone’s stereotype—simply standing there authentically is already a statement in itself. Before the camera, she represents another kind of loud and clear “voice”.”
