Thanks to Jordan Riefe for featuring MAD Bar & Lounge at NH Collection New York Madison Avenue in his latest for the Los Angeles Times, "Best Mad Men Style Retro and Historic Bars in Midtown Manhattan." Riefe writes that MAD Bar & Lounge is, "where the lights are dim and the Old Fashions flow like they did in the days of Don Draper."

Riefe also notes that the bar is hosting a bevy of FIFA World Cup watch parties for an elevated sports viewing experience. And, "If you’re celebrating a win on the court, the soccer pitch, or even a boardroom victory, take the elevator to the top floor Penthouse Empire Suite and pop the cork on some bubbly in the shadow of the Empire State Building only five blocks away, never more scintillating than when the sun starts to set and the city starts to sparkle."

Thanks again to Julie Kessler for the wonderful review of NH Collection Murano Villa for Money, Inc. The hotel sits in a beautifully repurposed glass factory right on the Venice Lagoon, with floor-to-ceiling windows, Murano glass accents throughout, and a spa worth penciling into your trip.

Dine on Venetian-Japanese fusion at the hotel's signature restaurant, Antica Fornace de Majo, or head to NH Collection Grand Hotel Palazzo Dei Dogi to dine on the main island at Da Lorenzo-Al Giardino Segreto, helmed by Michelin-starred Chef Paulo Airaudo.

Don't miss a guided tour of the legendary Seguso glass factory run by the same family since 1397, plus the Glass Museum and a boat trip to the colorful houses of Burano and the quiet, ancient island of Torcello.
