As Italian glassmakers go, Luigi Bormioli is relatively young (founded 1946), but our devotion to design esthetics and glass craftsmanship are rooted in Italian glassmaking methods that have flourished on the Venetian island of Murano since the Middle Ages. While our company embraces the craft and tradition of earlier Italian masters, we are committed to applying modern technology to this ancient art so as to create products of strength, beauty and affordability. In recent years, this commitment has resulted in an exclusive high-tech formula called SON.hyx (pronounced 'son-ix') that is truly unlike any other.
