Human calendars mean nothing to the birds, so tonight Ragnar and I are ditching the clock to watch the final sunset of the waxing year. It’s our prime opportunity to look back at everything that's unfolded since the winter darkness and reset before the days start shortening again.
​Miraculously, the skies are clear-ish making it two years in a row without rain for our solstice tradition, which has to be a record.
The snacks are packed, camera is charged.
Ragnar knows its a later night than normal for him today. He gets excited at the change in routine as long as its not repeated to much, he likes his 8 hours sleep.
