GlowGetter tips + tricks
Beauty | Style | Wellness | Travel The format is simple. What do I do in my "free" time?
I decided to launch a beauty, fashion and lifestyle blog after many years of experience as a taste-maker and lifestyle expert in the media business. First it was AskMelissa, then PageDaily and now my blog which is something very personal and special to me. I post a daily image followed by small tidbits of information. Many posts will offer valuable tips and product picks. I am a lover of art and nature and will share images of people, places, and things that will inspire you. I will also make product suggestions that are useful and will save you time researching what is best. My passion has always been to share my discoveries with other women to enhance their every day life. Whether it's advice on what new bag to buy and how to wear it, where to go on vacation, selecting the perfect lipstick, or trying the most effective workouts, think of me as your new best friend! I have over 10 years of experience as a lifestyle expert and appeared on TV as contributor for NBC’s Today Show and Weekend Today in New York, New York Live, Better.TV, Fox’s Good Day New York, and others. I love interviewing celebrities on the red carpet, sharing my gift guides and offering tips on my favorite fashion, beauty and lifestyle products. I am also an OpenSky insider with close to 300,000 followers. I have also been featured in and written for several online and traditional print publications, including People StyleWatch and Hamptons Magazine. PageDaily, my online lifestyle magazine has now become an archive and offers a wealth of information for the best in beauty, fashion and living. Check out its "insider" celebrity and expert tips, tricks and product pick through articles, interviews, and videos. I graduated from Syracuse University and started my career as an Associate Director in the Marketing Department of Bear Stearns planning national and international conferences and events. I was definitely an anomaly there with my short skirts, high heels and face of make-up. I always had a love for journalism and did lots of writing, editing, and proof-reading while at the firm. As a hobby, I was blogging about my favorite restaurants and places to go in NYC. After having children, I realized that Wall Street was not my calling and started AskMelissa, a lifestyle resource and newsletter. I am a big believer that leading a happy life is about finding something you are passionate about and sharing it with others. Balance and surrounding yourself with quality people are so important too. Besides eating yummy meals with my husband, children and close friends, I love spending time outside. I enjoy tennis, horseback riding, hiking, spinning, skiing, and stand-up paddle boarding at the beach (relocating to LA from NYC was a dream come true). My husband is extremely supportive of me and all my endeavors, and we have two amazing teenage children and an adorable shih tzu, Cinnamon. I am so excited to share all my best-kept fashion, beauty and lifestyle secrets with you. I hope you enjoy my personally curated blog and look forward to your comments!

On World Mental Health Day, I’m sharing a few moments from my weekend at Canyon Ranch as a Canyon Ranch Voices ambassador.
Taking care of ourselves includes how we feel on the inside. 🤍 At 61, my approach to aging well includes caring for my emotional well-being alongside my physical health. Making time to slow down, connect with others and check in with myself is something I’m learning to prioritize.
That’s part of what draws me to Canyon Ranch—the thoughtful, holistic approach to feeling your best, and the opportunity to bring that perspective into everyday life.
Today is also a reminder to check in on someone you love, make space for honest conversations and reach for support when you need it. We all deserve to feel heard and supported.
What helps you feel grounded? I’d love to hear. 🤍
Today’s OOTD, with a little Chanel. 🖤 Unboxing my latest bag from Vivrelle and styling it with this look!

I love to travel—and having a few go-to favorites makes packing for every getaway so much easier. ✈️
I’m sharing what I wear, pack and love in my latest Substack post, My Travel Favorites. Read the full edit through the link in my bio!
My airport uniform starts with rag & bone sweatpant jeans and a buttery-soft Splendid bamboo tee, styled with a leather jacket, scarf and comfortable sneakers. Polished enough for arrival, comfy enough for the flight!
In my bag? Travel-sized beauty favorites from Innersense and OneSkin, plus a hanging toiletry organizer that keeps everything visible and easy to reach. Add stylish luggage and my Jouer weekender for those extra essentials, and I’m ready to go.
These are the pieces I reach for trip after trip—and they’re all rounded up on Substack to help you pack for your next adventure. 🤍
What’s one thing you never travel without?

Portugal had been on my wish list for years, and it turned out to be the perfect mix of history, adventure and relaxation. 🇵🇹✨ I just shared my complete Portugal travel guide on Substack with where we stayed, ate and explored, plus my best tips and what I’d do differently. Head to the link in my bio to read it!
We started in Lisbon, exploring its history, neighborhoods and incredible food, then slowed things down in Comporta with beach days and a sunset horseback ride along the sand. 🐎
Our final stop was the Algarve, where we hiked the dramatic coastline, kayaked by the Benagil caves and enjoyed some wellness time at Vila Vita Parc.
Three very different stops, each with something special to offer. Save this Reel if Portugal is on your travel list! 🇵🇹
My favorite collagen supplement, AlgaeCal Collagen, is going to have a special 20% off pricing for Amazon Prime Days—and if you’ve been wanting to try it, this
is the time! ✨
At 61, I’m not just thinking about healthy-looking skin. Staying strong, active and mobile as I age is just as important to me. That’s one of the reasons I love
AlgaeCal Collagen—it goes beyond beauty, with four different types of collagen designed to support skin, hair, joints, nails and bones.*‡
It also blends seamlessly into my morning coffee or whatever I’m drinking without clumping or a bad taste. And the four collagen types are backed by 25 clinical trials—something I really appreciate when choosing my supplements.
Amazon Prime Days are October 7 & 8, so keep an eye out for the special pricing and get ready to shop AlgaeCal Collagen on Amazon!

A fairytale palace in Lisbon, Portugal and a pastry stop? My kind of sightseeing. ✨🇵🇹
Our day in Sintra took us from the colorful Pena Palace to a stroll through the town’s charming streets, with a stop at Casa Piriquita for its famous travesseiros.
One detail that really stood out to me inside the palace: how small the king’s bed was! ✨Swipe through to see what I mean. Apparently, a king-size bed had a different meaning back then. 😉
Outfit:
Top: LIVOTTE LONDON
Jeans: AYR | All Year Round
Bag: ISSEY MIYAKE
Sneakers: On Cloud

Lisbon won us over with its winding streets, views over the water, layers of history and wonderful food. ❤️🇵🇹
share. Follow me on Substack—linked in bio—for my full Portugal story, including Sintra, Comporta, the Algarve, where we stayed, what we ate and our favorite moments along the way.
Staying near Praça do Comércio made it easy to explore Alfama and Chiado, take a meaningful Jewish heritage tour, stop at Time Out Market and enjoy a memorable dinner at Marlene. We packed a lot in, but there was still so much more to see.
Planning a Portugal trip? Book at least three nights in Lisbon, especially if Sintra is on your itinerary.
Save this for your trip. ✨More coming soon… I came home with so many photos, videos and stories to share with you! Is Portugal on your bucket list?
