Let’s talk about something I’ve heard WAY too many times from transfer clients and seen people say online… 👀
“I got home after my retie and realized there were whole sections that never got retied.” 😩
And then there’s this idea that the faster the Loctician, the better the Loctician. 🤔
Baby… SPEED ≠ COMPLETION. 😂
I would much rather take my time, work through every section, check my work, and make sure your entire head is actually completed than rush through your appointment just so you can say, “Wow, she finished me in record time!” 🏃🏾‍♀️💨
Because what good is a 2-hour appointment if you get home and discover a whole neighborhood of locs that never got invited to the retie? 😂😂
Sometimes, being patient during your appointment is part of getting quality work. Precision takes time. Consistency takes time. Making sure EVERY. SINGLE. SECTION. is accounted for takes time.
So don’t always judge your Loctician by how quickly they finish. Ask yourself: Was the work thorough? Was every section completed? Did they take pride in the details?
Because I’m not racing the clock—I’m making sure your locs are LOCT’D IN. 🔒✨

CLIENTS, PLEASE DOCUMENT YOUR APPOINTMENTS! 😂😂
Because baby… when you text me “I’m outside” and I’m looking at my schedule like 👀😳…
My mind immediately goes to Deborah Cox: “HOW DID YOU GET HERE?!” 🎶😭
Please don’t make an appointment in your head and expect me to know about it! 😂 Your confirmation text, calendar, reminder, or whatever method you use is your best friend.
If I don’t have you on my schedule, I promise you… I’m not going to magically know you’re sitting outside. 😩😂
So PLEASE double-check your appointment date AND time before pulling up. Let’s avoid an unnecessary episode of “How Did You Get Here?” at the salon! 😂🔐

Can you re-twist micro locs? 🤔👀
Yes, you can… but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the ideal method. 👏🏾
I’m NOT against retwisting micro locs, but because micro locs contain such a small amount of hair per individual loc, the results typically don’t last as long as an interlocking maintenance method.
When you’re working with smaller sections, understanding the maintenance method that best supports the longevity and integrity of your locs is important! 🔐✨

One thing I’ve learned is that prayer isn’t the place to perform—it’s the place to be honest. Tell God when you’re confused. Tell Him when you’re frustrated. Tell Him when you’re scared, overwhelmed, or don’t understand what He’s doing.
He already knows your heart, so stop trying to sound perfect in prayer and start being real. Pour it all out, then be still enough to hear what He has to say. 🙏🏾❤️

Every now and then, I get to step outside of the salon and put on a completely different hat! For Lheantzy & Chase, I had the honor of serving as their wedding coordinator AND day-of coordinator. From crafting and organizing to helping make sure the actual wedding day flowed smoothly, I was ALL IN! 🥹❤️

🚨 UNPOPULAR OPINION: MORE LOCS ≠ MORE BEAUTIFUL! 👀🔒
You do NOT need 500+ locs for your hair to be beautiful. You don’t even need 400+! 😭
Sometimes we get so caught up in wanting the smallest locs possible that we forget about the foundation and long-term integrity of the locs. When locs are extremely tiny, the foundation can become compromised, and as those locs mature and get longer, that tiny foundation may struggle to support the weight.
The goal shouldn’t just be “How many locs can I fit on my head?” 😂
The goal should be healthy, sustainable, beautiful locs that can grow WITH you.
✨ Small doesn’t automatically mean healthy.

The work? DONE. ✅
The content creator in me? NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. 😂😂
