Making a lil something to go with those strawberry soaps. ;) I haven't thought of a name yet, but it's scented with strawberry shortcake fragrance oil, which reminds me of the dolls from the 80's. Can't find the perfect soap mold? You can make your own! It's actually pretty easy. In this example, I'm making a custom silicone strawberry mold using fresh fruit. A few helpful tips below:

1. If you're using a fruit with tiny hairs, remove them before starting. You can use a flame to singe them, making it easier to wipe off with a soft cloth.

2. Strawberries tend to float! So use some hot glue to keep them pinned.

3. Try to space your pieces close together, and don't overpour. If you add too much silicone mixture, it'll be harder to get those soaps out. I tend to do this on the regular. 😅

4. Finish off with boiling hot water after the fruit is removed to take care of any lingering bits of plant or pulp. This also ensures it's sanitized for your soaps.

Cutting Wilder Orchard. 🍏 I wish you could smell these through the screen. This batch is perfection, and I was super excited to test out my new multi-cutter on it. It took me almost a year to find the exact one I was looking for, as they no longer make them. Thankful for second-hand finds on Marketplace and the lovely person who sold it to me.

Making the wonderful: Wilder Orchard. Scented with apple, sage and a hint of raspberry. (my personal favorite) 💚🤍❤️ Wondering why I chose the name? Most of my soaps are named based on personal memories or small (sometimes cryptic) details; this one specifically reminds me of the smell of cranking homemade, homegrown apples on Laura Ingalls Wilder's homestead as a kid.
