I started making soaps when my very sensitive husband could no longer use regular store soap (and B&BW stopped carrying their glycerin soaps!). My soaps are made to be as natural and allergen-free as possible, though substitutions are made when the natural version won't survive the soap-making process. Essentially, saponification (soap-making) is an acid-base reaction, with a strong base, lye, and the fatty acids in the oils and fats. Not all natural essential oils or simple dyes will "survive" the high pH of the lye or the heat produced by the reaction. If you would prefer color-free or scent-free, that can be arranged. ;)

Catching up on orders after making soap this weekend. The Lemon Prosecco made me catch my breath. It was a special request by Kim Gray . Ha in an order for it come in around Mesothelioma Awareness Day was really amazing.

The highlight of my week! Dan got the ball for the last play of the game and got a 40 yd TD. 🧡🖤🦅. You can probably keep the sound off. It’s just me whispering and then yelling “Go”!!!

Got to BGSU for their home opener! Dan got to meet Pudge! And thank you to whoever caught Robyn in the sax section! We had been signing across the stadium. ❤️🧡🤎

Almost ready for a new year! Second year of teaching full time, in a wonderful school with supportive faculty and admin. Still soaping. Lotions and bath bombs are available by request only.
