Neat Enough Living

Here’s a “Let’s make this 75% less gross” project:

The baking cabinet was getting pretty grody, so I moved the shelves a bit and wiped them clean. Then I cut up some Con-Tact shelf liner to make it easier to clean in the future.

The way I have these shelves organized is by placing whatever I use most frequently on the lower shelves. The items I don’t use as much go up top. Pretty simple and neat enough. @ Northampton, Massachusetts

I noticed these grates in my bathroom were starting to get rusty. I’m not sure what purpose they have besides looking interesting, but they are often subject to splatter from water, soap, and make up. Nothing a little couldn’t fix.

There’s nothing like a clean barn!

My barn was so full of construction sawdust, bits and pieces of junk from the previous owner of our home, and... mouse p**p. I hired a college kid to take EVERYTHING OUT and I only put back in what I wanted. The rest I will give away or bring to the transfer station. I can use my barn again!!

Do you have organizational problem areas in your home? I’ve always found shelving like this to be useless. The holes are either too small or not shaped properly for the things I want to put in here. But, like most people, I don’t have the time or funds to rip apart the mud room just because I don’t like the system. I’ll be brainstorming this space to try to make it work and will post about it soon!
