I was one of three makeup artists on this Boston wedding morning, and I’m sharing a few of my favorite looks from that day. 💄✨

What I love about mornings like this: everyone’s getting ready in the same room, but nobody’s look is the same. Soft glam, natural makeup, or a full glam transformation—the goal is always to make the look feel like hers, whatever that means for her.

That’s the range I love working in as a New England bridal makeup artist.

This is the part of wedding mornings I never get tired of.

She said my name and I swear I knew right then this was going to be a good one. 😭

Not because anything was off — I could just tell we were seconds away from the moment. The one every bridal makeup artist works toward. Dress on, hair done, makeup finished, and she finally gets to see the whole picture she’s been imagining for months, all at once.

What made this one hit different — she was one of the very first brides to trust Glam for Everyone back when this business was brand new. Getting to be in the room for her wedding day glam, years later? That’s the kind of full-circle moment that doesn’t get old.

Makeup has awkward stages.

So do paintings.

So do sketches.

Sometimes the finished result doesn’t start looking like itself until the very end.

Don’t judge your makeup halfway through the process.

Some clients know exactly what they want.

Others hand you the brush.

She told me she loves a full face, couldn’t wait to have her makeup done, smiled and said,

“I’m your palette.”

It’s such a simple phrase, but it tells me everything I need to know.

She was excited.

She trusted the process.

And she was ready to enjoy every minute of it.

Those appointments are always so much fun because we get to create something together.

By the time she saw the finished look…

“Oh, it looks so cute. You did awesome.”
