Carnival Ride Results in Minor Injuries in Oak Harbor

Oak Harbor– During this evening's festivities a ride tipped over, resulting in six minor injuries. The affected individuals were treated on-site for minor injuries and are being treated.

The ride was promptly secured and shut down to ensure the safety of all attendees. The City will be working closely with the vendor to conduct thorough inspections tomorrow to determine the cause of the incident and prevent any future occurrences.

"We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and visitors," said Police Chief Tony Slowik. “Our priority is to thoroughly investigate this incident and take all necessary measures to maintain the highest safety standards."

The carnival is closed for the remainder of the evening.
