As promised, a few stills of the beautiful great horned owl and babies. The babies are already getting some grown up feathers and hopping and clapping from branch to branch and are almost as big as the parents already! Great horned owls can eat up to 11 mice per day so I imagine the parents are working overtime to keep those babies fed.
Shot on .cameras with the 50-200mm f2.8 zoom lens.

Hi everyone, just some peaceful scenes from Palm Springs a few weeks back. I had to put Instagram on the back burner for a while as I deal with urgent family and pet matters. For those wondering, Uni had anaplasmosis, a tick borne infection, which is now clearing up with antibiotics. Thank you to everyone who reached out and sent good vibes. 🐾 🐕
Taking time off the gram has been kind of a relief, I haven't felt like I have to document everything or romanticize the mundane, or even have to bring my camera everywhere. I broke my phone a few weeks back and even though I replaced the broken part it still has some problems. I was using my phone for 99% of my videos and now the main lens is a little blurry and has trouble focusing. I think I'm going to let this push me out of my comfort zone for a while as well as just give myself a break from the pressure to produce produce produce.
I have also been thinking about how I might want to use Instagram in the future. I do feel it can be a very creative outlet for me. But I am going to be rebuilding my entire life in Southern California soon, and I know that's going to require a lot of energy and I'm probably not going to be able to (or want to) document it all. Leaving my NorCal/Bay Area community behind isn't a decision I make lightly.
So much of what I'm going through right now is private/confidential that I can't really share most of it online. I hope that one day soon I'll be able to share more. And I'm still available in DMs like always.
Have a great week friends!!!

Still catching up on my Joshua Tree excursion! It was amazing how many wildflowers were blooming in the park.
Life has been going a million miles a minute lately and I've had to step back from Instagram a bit to do some serious adulting. And not gonna lie, adulting pretty much sucks! But it's a necessary part of personal growth and securing my future in an uncertain world.
Hope you are all having a great week!
As I get older, I am learning that I don't always have to explain my position, or defend my decisions. I guess you could say that I save a ton of energy with this one weird trick 😂.

Hi it's me again. Been a teensy bit busy this last week so I am just popping a few photos up while I have five minutes. These were from our golden hour walk (where we camped) about 45 minutes outside of Joshua Tree.
Happy almost Friday friends!

Hi! I just want to show you some of the animals and birds that I saw in Joshua Tree Park a couple of weeks ago. I was especially excited to see the chuckwalla, they are the second largest lizard in the United States and can weigh up to a pound. This was a chonky boi.
I've been a little tied up with some family matters but I'm going to do my best to share more pics and videos soon. Big welcome to all the new followers! I appreciate you being here and hope I can inspire you to get outside, slow down, and feel that childlike sense of wonder again.
