This week Liam was invited to playdates & I got to have extra time to work on my business & it’s pretty awesome… looks like wedding season is going to be crazy this year if I want to take wedding work. I have this secret project I have been dreaming & drumming up ideas for for a bit. Maybe one day I’ll launch it & show you all … crossing my fingers. Been doing what I do 21 years all over the globe & finally got my little downtown business going five or six years ago to give me a little local hometown love after twenty years of traveling to production work. I’m happy and fulfilled to this day but there is something more I want to do. I’m going to plant the seed energetically on NYE.

Thank you to my friend of over 15 years for the visit today …. I told her my project I’m putting into the forefront of my brain. I try to keep things close to my chest until they are done. Something exciting but something sustainable is always the goal right? Sometimes the same is good too. It’s all about trying to figure out what’s best. And the market.

Hi everyone! I’m Katie & wow it’s the holidays again?!! We are living in a very crazy time in our planet. It’s uncomfortable to see the news. I’m ashamed of some of today’s youth. And how activism turns dangerous. As someone who was raised in Oakland & also lived in Oakland as a 20 & 30 something who was on the forefront of a lot of civil movements with social justice “real” advocates & warriors: it’s nice to know the “adult way.” As a beauty pro I try to listen to everyone & hear all sides. And I try to remain neutral even if some days I too want to be extreme. How about we as a culture in Sonoma County stay friendly to ALL people & accept ALL from ALL places of the world and stay far away from the divisive hate & this fight which is not ours. And how about we grieve ALL losses that have happened. We are in America the land of the free let’s hope we have made the right choices to keep it this way. I will fully support any and all clients of all walks to come into my studio or have me attend to their big day I hold zero animosity for any folks on any side of the coin. In fact l’d love to start a free hug day event outside my shop & put any bad blood to rest in my town between the worlds. Grateful to be working & living in Petaluma. And to be an American where we truly get to be who and where we want to be freely. Happy Holidays to all. So many people are suffering in this world, be the pillar of love & respect to all. Little life update before I go into month two of a pretty intense business incubator with 26 women. There is no greater love. Obviously not posting any photos that show the full scenery which included who Liam calls his dog. One photo not shown may end up on the holiday card! Grateful to work with a local photographer for six years & have her show my entire pregnancy to age three in the imagery. Pretty special. Liam is a gem. Not gonna lie I’m wanting time to stop. He’s not a baby anymore! Have a happy holidays to all. I’m trying to boot strap my skincare business back into motion, the state of California esthetics board forum online shows it’s slow & people close more than open. Pandemic, asthmatic baby, inflation & what seems to be a recession where they get their hair color & Botox & put facials last: it is a little rough. But I’m giving it my all again. Looking forward to wedding season, we learned weddings don’t stop. Aside from trying to bring my other baby back my business I’m working on becoming the best mother ever in a wonderful parents group Wednesday at 3pm & on a very special book with the group. And beginning to depend into the community instead of festivals and partying, through kids. Aside from the stress this life brings which is a given and the extra work of parenting alone full time I guess I feel fulfilled by life, and busy! ✨❤️✨
