Proper procedures to burn a candle so that it will burn properly and you can get the most from your scented candle: first time you light up your scented candle to enjoy it's wonderful aroma, let it pool, which means, let the wax melt all around the vessel it's in. The last photo is an example of letting the wax pool. Anytime after that you can blow it out. This process is only necessary for the first time you light it up. When you light it up from here on out, don't forget to trim your wick. This will keep your scented candle lighting up efficiently with no soot.
