A few days ago, an old friend messaged me on LinkedIn asking if I wanted to meet for lunch. We met at The Crazy Cucumber to catch up.

During lunch, she started talking about her travel business and suggested I join. She believed that because of my experience in network marketing, I could easily succeed in the travel industry too. She told me she would send me a video to watch.

Later that night, I couldn’t sleep. I kept thinking about that conversation.

That’s when I realized something important.

For the last 8 years, I’ve been building my Avon business, but my “why” kept changing.

At first, my reason was to help pay for my wedding.
Then it became helping my family and starting a charity.
Later, it was helping my husband while he went back to college so we could invest in our future.

But that night, my real reason finally became clear.

My name is Esperanza Lewis. I live with an intellectual disability and I also face mental health challenges.

I’m not just building a business with Avon. I’m building a mission.

My goal is to inspire women to be bold, beautiful, and unique. I want to be a role model for women who live with mental health challenges or intellectual disabilities. I want them to see that they can still believe in themselves, build something meaningful, and feel confident about who they are.

Through my Avon business, I want women to feel confident in their own identity.

Because every woman deserves to feel bold, beautiful, and unique. 💜
