I created the kind of space I wish I’d had when I was leaving high control religion. 💗
Some of the greatest healing and joy I’ve experienced has come through art, dance, self-expression, and exploring life beyond the beliefs I was raised with.
These experiences helped me rebuild my sense of self, and I wish I’d had a circle of women to share them with when I was in the thick of deconstruction.
That’s why I created **UNSHAMED & EXPRESSED** six gatherings of sisterhood, creativity, movement, and self-exploration for women navigating life after high-control religion.

“Healing” religious trauma, but make it fun.
I’m bringing together 6–10 women in the Edmond/OKC area for six gatherings of sisterhood, creativity, embodiment, and self-expression after high-control religion.
Because leaving religion can be lonely as f**k. And rebuilding your identity doesn’t have to mean doing it all alone.
We’ll share our stories, unshame our experiences, dance, create art, explore fashion and expression, reconnect with our bodies, and practice being different while still belonging.
No gurus. No dogma. No pressure to be anything other than yourself.

📍 Edmond/OKC area
💗 6 gatherings | 6–10 women
💰 $200 total founding cohort price paid in full (approximately $33 per session)
💸$250 with payment plan overtime
🗓️ **Potential start dates:**
* Sunday, Nov 1 | 5:30–8:30 PM
* Thursday, Nov 5 | 11 AM–2 PM
Each gathering includes 2 hours of guided experiences, plus 30 minutes before and after for connection and settling in.
The final schedule will be based on group availability.

Meet Your Facilitator
Vanessa
I’m the founder of In Season, a somatic expressionist, integrative resolution and chronic wellness coach, artist, dancer, model, and woman who has personally navigated the identity-shattering experience of leaving a high-control religion.
My background brings together coaching, chronic wellness education with a German New Medicine Lens, study of unshaming approaches with David Bedrick, and bachelor’s degrees in Nutrition and French.
But so much of the work I do has also been shaped by lived experience, travel, art, dance, modeling, and exploring who I could become beyond the expectations I was raised with.
Through In Season, I’ve built a creative practice centered on beauty, expression, embodiment, and the belief that our experiences, desires, creativity, and perspectives have value.
I’m bringing these parts of my life together to facilitate Unshamed & Expressed: an intimate sisterhood for women navigating life after high-control religion.
I’m not here to tell you who to become, give you another set of rules, or position myself as the authority over your life.
I’m here to create a supportive space where we can share our experiences, learn from each other, reconnect with our bodies, and explore the freedom to express ourselves in ways that feel authentic to us. This is a space where you will learn to trust yourself above anyone else.
There is room for grief. There is room for anger. And there is absolutely room for beauty, laughter, sensuality, creativity, and joy.
