2025 was a year of transformation, death, and rebirth for me. It was the year that I decided to take up space and reside outside of my comfort zone. I said yes to the things that scared me the most. I pushed myself to do things that I thought would be impossible. I started the year with one goal in mind: to create a safe, welcoming space with Mantis Spa where every single person who walked in the door would feel seen, validated, and cared for. I put every single piece of my heart and soul into my business. Every day was a new lesson to be learned and I am grateful for every one of them, even the hardest ones where I didn’t think I could keep going.

Mantis Spa is the dream I’ve always had but was scared to create. I truly had no idea what to expect. I’d be lying if I said it was easy. I would be lying if I said it was always fun. The truth is, working for your dream is incredibly challenging physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I spent this year constantly second guessing myself and wondering if the decision I just made would be the end of my business. I wondered how I would attract team members who truly saw me and understood my vision. I worried if our guests would be able to feel everything I put into the space, the treatments, and the special touches. I hoped to create something so beautiful and so unique that there was no other option than for it to work out. And it did.

My heart is so incredibly full. I cannot believe that this is my reality. Mantis Spa has exceeded my expectations and goals at every step. What I’m most grateful for are the people who have come into my life this year. Whether on my team, a new friend, or a new client, you were instrumental in the success of Mantis’ first year in business and for that, I truly can’t thank you enough. Your love and support mean more to me than you’ll ever know. Your words of encouragement got me through the hardest days. Every time I received a message from someone who said they saw me and what I’m doing, it brought me to tears. Running a business is so incredibly lonely, but all of you have made it worth it. You’ve given me the chance to do something meaningful with my life.

Today we had the honor of hosting another group of student estheticians from 💕

I love getting to connect with students and talking about all things esthetics, business, and Mantis! The students at Capitol are always so engaging and I love seeing the passion they have for this industry. I feel overwhelmed with gratitude that I get to do this and share my experiences and thoughts on this field

Thank you to Capitol for allowing me time with your students! It’s always a highlight for me and I look forward to it every time. Good luck to these students with the last few weeks of their program! I can’t wait to see the beauty you create in our community 🫶

2025 has been my year of stepping out of my comfort zone. I’ve accomplished things this year that I only dreamed of. At 31 years old, I would’ve never expected to be here with my beautiful and silly family, my own successful spa, an incredible team who I dearly love, and of course, my beloved clients who have taken a chance on me over the last 6 years. I feel overwhelmed with emotion on a regular basis for the joy, the love, and the sheer enormity of your kindness and support. It’s all thanks to you reading this. Wherever you’ve fit in along my path, you’re an important piece of the puzzle, and I’m so grateful for your support 💕

Here’s to Mantis, here’s to all of you who love us, and here’s to stepping outside our comfort zones more often to achieve our dreams, and here’s to spending your days with people you love doing the things you love 🫶

My heart is so full of love and my eyes are so full of happy tears. I’m blown away by all of the love and support I’ve received on this journey with Mantis Spa. We’re crushing goals, meeting so many new clients who have been AMAZING, and seeing my regulars who are some of the best people I know.

I am someone who has always felt guilty asking for help, but because I was opening a spa at the same time that my personal life was on fire, I asked for it anyway. And my people all showed up for me, no questions asked. I don’t know what I did to deserve them. I don’t always feel good enough to have them. But I sure am grateful that they’re here 💕

Shoutouts:jade has been such a grounding presence and has been so supportive and helpful. She’s always ready to jump in to help with things around the spa, she makes me laugh, and I genuinely look forward to seeing her everyday. Jadey, we’re going to do big, big things!

To my husband Shawn, who not only built all the cabinetry and woodwork throughout the spa (yes, for every room, yes, even our incredible front desk), but who has also really stepped up at home to make sure I can keep Mantis running smoothly. He is my everything and my greatest support 💕

To my friends— Lauren, Michaela, Cate, and Kristen, I’m so grateful for you all. You’ve all stepped in to help with Mantis in so many ways, you literally held me and let me cry when it was really tough, and you all did it and expected nothing in return. I love you and I always will 💕

Walking into 2025 feeling refreshed and ready to crush my goals with Mantis ✨

I spent sometime fine tuning my goals, both personally and professionally, for the year and I can’t wait to really get started! What goals do you have for this year? I’d love to know!

This angel came to me with the driest skin I’ve ever seen. I imagine it had to be pretty uncomfortable so I got her on a full, moisturizing skincare regimen. Dry skin like this lacks oil so we made sure to include products containing oils and hydrator to replace water in the skin.

In the few short months we’ve worked together, I’ve been happy with her progress though it has been slow. You can see in the photo on the right that her skin appears softer and smoother, which it was! She told me that even her family has noticed a difference in her skin, which I love! Things will only improve from here 💕
