What are you doing first?

No he wasn’t drunk…

He was standing in the grocery store when he suddenly looked confused.

He started sweating.

His hands began to shake.

When the cashier asked if he was okay, he couldn’t answer properly.

Some people thought he was joking.
Others assumed he had been drinking.

But one woman noticed something important.

She asked, “Do you have diabetes?”

He nodded.

She quickly handed him a small carton of fruit juice.

Within minutes, he started feeling like himself again.

What happened?

His blood sugar had dropped dangerously low.

This is called hypoglycemia.

Think of glucose (sugar) as the fuel your brain runs on. When that fuel drops too low, your brain can’t function normally. That’s why people may suddenly become shaky, sweaty, confused, dizzy, weak, or even aggressive. If it’s not treated quickly, they can lose consciousness or have a seizure.

If the person is awake and can swallow:
✅ Give them a fast source of sugar such as fruit juice, regular soda (not diet), glucose tablets, or hard candy.

Wait about 15 minutes. If they still don’t feel better, give another fast source of sugar and seek medical attention.

If they are unconscious or unable to swallow:
Do NOT put food or drinks into their mouth.
They could choke.

Call emergency services immediately.

Here’s something many people don’t know…

Low blood sugar doesn’t only happen to people with diabetes. It can also happen after skipping meals, exercising intensely without eating enough, drinking alcohol on an empty stomach, or because of certain illnesses or medications.

The biggest mistake you can make is assuming someone is “just acting strange.”

Sometimes, they’re experiencing a medical emergency.

Knowing the signs and acting quickly could save a life.

Ever wondered why handwashing is an important practice in the healthcare industry?

How is something so simple considered a standard practice that everyone must adhere to, even to the point of querying defaulters 🤔

The answer is not far fetched;
It is simply because, a clean hand can be likened to a condom. It has nearly 99.9% chance of protecting you from infectious diseases! 😳

Yes! Clean hands = fewer germs ❤️

So next time you wash your hands, do so with the intention of protecting yourself and your loved ones from diseases.

Don’t just wash with water….

Use soap. Scrub thoroughly. Clean between your fingers and under your nails. Then rinse and dry.

Never underestimate the power of something as simple as washing your hands 🙌

Your liver might be begging you to stop drinking alcohol but you don’t know it yet.

The scary part? Liver damage can progress silently.

But when your body starts showing warning signs, you shouldn’t ignore them.

1️⃣ Yellowing of your eyes or skin (jaundice)
This can happen when the liver isn’t processing bilirubin properly. It can be a sign of serious liver disease and needs medical attention.

2️⃣ Swelling in your belly or legs
Unexplained swelling can occur when advanced liver disease affects fluid balance in the body.

⚠️ Important: These symptoms don’t automatically mean alcohol is the cause, but they should never be brushed aside—especially if you drink heavily or regularly.

Your liver is incredibly resilient, but it isn’t invincible.

If alcohol is putting your health at risk, don’t wait for your body to scream before you listen.

💬 Have you ever wondered how much alcohol is actually too much for your liver?
