Twenty-five years ago today, the world changed.

For those of us who remember September 11, 2001, we remember where we were. We remember the disbelief. We remember watching the news and trying to understand something that didn't seem possible.

But most of all, I hope we remember the people.

The people who went to work that morning and never came home.

The firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and ordinary people who ran toward danger to help someone else.

The families who lost someone they loved.

The people who spent the days and years afterward learning how to live with an absence that could never truly be filled.

Twenty-five years later, we have grown older. Children who were not yet born that day are now adults. A new generation knows September 11 primarily as something they learned about in school.

That makes remembering even more important.

Because history isn't just dates and facts. It's people.

So today, take a moment. Remember. Say a prayer. Hug your people a little tighter. Be kind to someone who may need it. Don't take an ordinary day with the people you love for granted.

We remember September 11, 2001.

We remember the lives.
We remember the sacrifice.
We remember the families.
We remember the courage.
We remember the humanity.

And we will never forget.
