Isn’t it odd I’ve always wanted straight, long, blond hair just so I could dress up as Sailor Moon?! Looking back she probably wasn’t the best role model to have cuz she was the stereotypical clumsy crybaby...But one thing I’ll always admire about Sailor Moon is how she always wore her heart on her sleeve and gave it her all in everything she did, despite all the circumstances she faced 🌙
I swear pandemic bedside nursing has got to be THE most challenging thing I’ve done in my life to date. Caring for extremely sick patients, primary care nursing, and trying my best to keep myself and my family protected; It’s a handful on top of trying to eat healthy, exercise, practice self-care, and show kindnesses to family and friends. Honestly, it’s really really hard!
But I’ve learned thru prayer and faith I can do hard things; and so can you. You see we were created and lived just for this moment in time, because we have something to give to the world. It could be a kind word of encouragement or a mask-covered smile with the wrinkles around our eyes. We were created to be lights in a world where dark thoughts and actions roam free. We need to give it our all even when it feels like there’s nothing else to give! So borrow my heart and use it to eradicate the challenges you’re fighting right now! I’m confident in your abilities and I can’t wait for you to level-up!

Okay, so why am I posting a photo of a festive garland and a Christmas Tree with presents under the tree in the month of JANUARY. Maybe it’s a reminder that presents aren’t everything? Maybe it’s to show how gorgeous the house was decorated? No, it’s actually none of those things. It’s actually a promise to myself: That Christmas-Time 2020 I want to be in a home of my own! I am declaring it into the universe that one of my goals for 2020 will be to be a homeowner! It’s such a scary thing- to declare dreams that are so far in the future you have no idea how they will happen! I guess that’s the difference between dreams and goals! I love the idea of taking a beautiful big dream and molding it into a sustainable goal for your future! Believe it or not, I truly suffer from imposter syndrome and I always have to catch myself when I’m thinking, “I’m not good enough!” Or “I hope they don’t find out who I really am.” Stop, just STOP. You and I are God’s Creations, and there isn’t a devil in this world-or beyond-that will convince me otherwise! You see, I think humanity is always looking for the negatives in life and misery always wants company. Take some time today to remember your worth (and YES NURSES, that means taking that 10-minute break a few times a shift). Shine in your element and let go of the rest! And when that new opportunity arises, know in your heart that you are the perfect fit for it and NO-ONE could do it better; because there’s no-one else just like you.
