Single on Valentineβs Day? π€ Donβt worry bestie I am too! Youβre not alone, and I realized that I am okay with not having a Valentine this year.
To be completely transparent I have never been asked to be someoneβs Valentine β€οΈβπ©Ή, yet I always go above and beyond for my partner at the time.
It gets exhausting living like that π΄ So I decided to date myself, and treat ME the way that I treated THEM!

It's okay if you don't know how to process your emotions. I have the same struggle, but I am taking steps to correct that. I grew up in a culture where we were taught to get over our emotions. ββββββββ

With that mindset, I started to feel numb and I couldn't identify the basic emotions (happy, sad, angry, etc.) that I was feeling. But with the help of my support system and journaling, I have been able to improve in this area. ββββββββ

Emotions are difficult to identify and understand, but once you have the correct tools you will start the healing process...in the CORRECT WAY. ββββββββ

When you are used to taking care of others, it is easy to forget to take care of yourself. Prioritizing your well-being and mental health is extremely important, especially if you want to become a well-rounded adult. ββββββββ
