I came across these photos from 4 years ago and realized something…

I’ve spent so much time focusing on where I want to go that I’ve forgotten to celebrate how far I’ve come.

Before the clients, before the content, before the growth, there were seeds.

This was one of them.

Never despise small beginnings. And don’t let people underestimate the value that God has placed on the inside of you.

Because that’s the feeling these photos gave me. 💕

Postpartum…Part 2

In the corporate world they only give you 6 weeks of maternity leave. But in reality, postpartum is much longer than 6 weeks.

Recently, we went to the beach with our family and this is where I learned that my body is still recovering. I’m just trying to heal, live and learn by body all over again. I shared that I got postpartum preeclampsia just a week or 2 after baby girl was born- which is 9 weeks ago. Postpartum preeclampsia is when you have high blood pressure after giving birth. If untreated it could lead to a stroke or seizures. Medical professionals say they don’t know exactly what causes it- they just know how to treat it. Coming home from the beach, I noticed my feet and ankles swelling up. My family got alarmed and forced me to check my blood pressure. It was a little on the high end but nothing that requires hospitalization. Must I remind you, my baby is still waking up every 2-3hrs to eat. If you’re expecting, pay attention to your body while it’s forming your little human also while it’s healing from it as well ♥️

I keep hearing Holy Spirit say, “God’s grace is more than enough”.

2 Corinthians 12:9 tells us that Paul begged the Lord to take a thorn out of his flesh. Although it doesn’t explain what the thorn was, whatever it was, he prayed and told God he didn’t want it anymore. I’m sure we all can relate to Paul whether it be physical, spiritual, emotional, mental…and just like Paul we’ve asked God many times to take it away. But God responded to Paul reassuring him that His grace is sufficient.

I looked up the definition of sufficient and it means “enough to meet the needs of a situation or proposed end”.

It’s almost like God is saying: “Paul, I may not remove the thorn, but I will give you what you need to endure it.” Sometimes we think grace is just forgiveness…

But grace is also:

* Strength when you’re tired
* Peace when your mind is overwhelmed
* Power when you feel weak
* Help when you don’t know what to do
* The ability to keep going when you should have collapsed

God doesn’t say, “Paul, you’re strong enough.” He says, “MY grace…” Meaning, “What you lack, I will be for you.” So God is saying, “My grace is enough to carry what you cannot.” Not,“You won’t feel pain.” Not, “This won’t hurt.” But, “You will not run out because I won’t run out.”

Lord, whatever You’re doing, don’t do it without us. Thank You that YOUR GRACE IS ALL WE NEED and that there’s NO situation or circumstance that’s too much for Your grace 🙌🏾♥️
