I love talking to clients about ingredients and nerding out on what each one means 🤓 I’ve done so much research on each new “chemical” they create to trick us or make food cheaper here in the US and unfortunately none are healthy— not even “natural flavor”. While yes it’s impossible to avoid, and a MUCH better option than artificial flavors, it’s still very murky. No transparency of what they are putting in your food!!

Got a lot of ginger and don’t want it to go bad? Juice it! — this is perfect for preserving your ginger longer but also makes it super convenient for teas, juices, or shots. Just add a little to your juice of choice, or take a tablespoon with some turmeric powder, or add a teaspoon to hot water! I snagged these little bottles off Amazon and I keep my juiced ginger in it. Lasts about a month!

Nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated. We always over complicate things when the information is overwhelming.
The wellness industry was born out of the fitness and diet industries therefore it is full of misinformation. True nurturing/nutrition is the opposite of diet culture and very far off from fitness culture. When we are eating for health we need to look at our HISTORY!
Human history. Look back at what our great-grandparents were eating and GO BACK TO NATURE!
Before the industrial revolution, before petroleum, and industrialized farming, we were far stronger and more nourished.
If you look to the nutrition of those who are still living off the land, you can see how distant we are from that form of true nourishment.
We have overly complicated food. And for good reason, it’s all propaganda and $$ driven.
So next time you feel confused about what’s healthy and what isn’t, check in with your body. Ask these three questions:
1- is it real food? (Non-processed, from nature)
2- did my ancestors eat it?
3- does it make ME feel good?
