❶ Going to bed with wet hair is okay… 𝙉𝙊 𝙒𝘼𝙔! Our hair is the most fragile and susceptible to breakage when it’s wet! 💧

❷ Coconut oil is good for your hair… 𝙒𝙍𝙊𝙉𝙂. 🥥 Coconut oil is a coating that can cause protein-buildup, blocking your hair from absorbing all those good masks and products recommended by your stylist! Just because it feels good on the outside doesn’t mean it’s doing good things on the inside!

❸ The more suds the better… 𝙉𝙊𝙋𝙀. Who doesn’t love bubbles!? 🧼 But get this, bubbles are not a sign that your shampoo is working overtime. In fact, bubbles are a by-product of harsh detergents in sulfate shampoos, which can strip hair of necessary oils and nutrients. Over-the-counter shampoos are 75% water while salon quality shampoos are only 5 to 10% water. Concentration is key 🙌💯

❹ A flakey scalp means you have dandruff… 𝙉𝙊𝙏 𝘼𝙇𝙒𝘼𝙔𝙎! Have an itchy scalp and white flakes? Don’t automatically assume a dandruff diagnosis. While you may feel an urge to reach for the Head & Shoulders, take a moment to assess. Dandruff shampoos can actually worsen flaking by drying out the scalp. This often means you need an increase in moisture and exfoliation… especially during seasonal changes.

❺ Coloring dirty hair is fine… 𝘽𝙄𝙂 𝙈𝙄𝙎𝘾𝙊𝙉𝘾𝙀𝙋𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉! ❌ Dirty hit traps dirt, oil, and mineralization that can cause inconsistencies in the hairs lifting or depositing process.

𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭!?

Are you more the ‘𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲’ or ‘тαвℓє ƒσя σηє’?

🎨 As an ΛЯƬIƧƬ, I’m at my most productive when it's just me and my client. I put on some 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙧𝙖𝙥 and get to work! It’s my absolute favorite!

💗Right here you see two rows of 18” 𝐍𝐁𝐑® with @covetandmane hair

What about you, friend? Do you shine on a team or prefer flying solo?

I have completed my level two certification with 𝐈𝐁𝐄® and I am now testing out for my 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣! 🔥

This method offers maximum 𝒻𝓁𝑒𝓍𝒾𝒷𝒾𝓁𝒾𝓉𝓎, ʜɪᴅᴅᴇɴ ʙᴇᴀᴅꜱ, ƈօʍʄօʀȶ and 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘳 𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.

I am working so hard to offer all of my guest the most up-to-date and safe method of having ∂яєαм нαιя!

🤍 Big thanks to @handtiedstitchqueen for being 𝙢𝙮 𝙘𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝 and cheerleader along the way!

TONIK soaks into scalp, skin and hair follicles with 20 natural, organic botanicals and essential oils for refreshed, rejuvenated, healthy scalp, and hair. Including saw palmetto, green tea, plus salicylic acid for deep cleaning. The list goes on and on but this stuff is an absolute must have. ✨

𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞?

Absolutely! Here’s why:

When your stylist values their career enough to take time, and money to learn the neat ways to do their job it builds credibility and trust with existing and new clientele.

Everything changes so fast these days. Trends are coming and going faster than trending reel audios! It’s our job to stay on top of trends so we not only know how to achieve them, but we’ll know if they will best fit you and your lifestyle!

After mastering certain techniques for a long time it’s easy to get lazy behind the chair! I personally discover different parts of my work I want to get better at every day! Continuing education holds us accountable and inspires us to always do better behind the chair.

In addition to learning, continuing education classes can also be a great way to advance our careers. We can share our experiences with other professionals in your same line of work and can also meet and learn from top industry leaders. (HELLO blondingcrew!) This only improves the services we provide every day.

𝟓 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮!

❶ You struggle with having 𝕍𝕆𝕃𝕌𝕄𝔼 : Say bye-bye to flat, limp hair. Extensions offer all the volume with no extra effort.

❷ You are 𝑔𝓇𝑜𝓌𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝑜𝓊𝓉 your natural hair: Contrary to popular belief extensions actually help you grow your natural hair out…safely!

❸ You can’t get your hair to be 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙝 for: Extensions are a great secret weapon when it comes to achieving that dream color! Is your hair always brassy and never quite blonde enough? Extensions are your answer!

❹ Your 𝚜𝚝𝚢𝚕𝚎𝚜 𝚍𝚘𝚗’𝚝 𝚑𝚘𝚕𝚍 and updos never turn out like the inspo picture: Say no more to battling curls falling out or your braids never looking like the picture!

❺ Your 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰 past that certain point: We have all been there… There’s nothing more frustrating! Achieve the length of your dreams with extensions.

✨Splurge on a 𝓈𝒶𝓉𝒾𝓃 𝓅𝒾𝓁𝓁𝑜𝓌 𝒸𝒶𝓈𝑒.
Smooth satin doesn’t catch and pull your hair as much when you toss and turn at night, eliminating bed head and split ends.

✨Don’t sleep with 𝕨𝕖𝕥 𝕙𝕒𝕚𝕣!
Hair is its weakest when it’s wet. Sleeping on it wet causes damange and breakage.

I can’t express this enough. Braids are you best friend for bedtime.

✨Use an 𝗼𝗶𝗹
Apply a nickel size amount of good quality hair oil, usually something with argan, to your ends before you get your beauty sleep.

✨𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐇! Probably the most important!
Use a wide tooth comb to brush from the roots to the ends, gently working through knots. This helps distribute the natural oil from your scalp throughout the rest of your hair.

𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰! 💗

Shampooing your hair everyday strips it of 𝓃𝒶𝓉𝓊𝓇𝒶𝓁 𝑜𝒾𝓁𝓈 and 𝕝𝕖𝕒𝕕𝕤 𝕥𝕠 𝕓𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕜𝕒𝕘𝕖. I only wash my hair once a week and recommend the same for my clients!

Remember, your hair is a 𝓁𝒾𝓋𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔 that needs care to remain healthy.

✔️Your 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 than the rest of your hair
✔️Your hair 𝘄𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲
✔️Your hair is 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙝 and gets tangled easily

The general rule of thumb is every 𝟠-𝟙𝟚 𝕨𝕖𝕖𝕜𝕤. If any of these red flags come up before then, you know it’s time!

𝟑 𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬

I only wash my hair 𝕠𝕟𝕔𝕖 𝕒 𝕨𝕖𝕖𝕜! I recommend the same practice for most of my clients. I often get questions about how to keep hair fresh between washes - especially from girls who workout daily. Here’s what I recommend:

💫Get a 𝓈𝒾𝓁𝓀 𝓅𝒾𝓁𝓁𝑜𝓌𝒸𝒶𝓈𝑒. This is a gamechanger!
💫Don’t ᴏᴠᴇʀᴜꜱᴇ ᴘʀᴏᴅᴜᴄᴛꜱ on Day 1.
💫𝘉𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘳𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘳 after a sweaty workout.

𝟯 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗶𝗿☀️

Swim edition!

I get questions about protecting color and extensions a lot during the summer. There are 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 ways to maintain your color and the integrity of your hair.

𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿-𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻. (Store-brand sunscreens can be a big mistake. They can turn your extensions PINK. I always recommend supergoop.)
𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗱𝘀.. Save yourself and your hair the trouble of brushing out wet, tangled hair. This is so important to maintaining its integrity!
𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲-𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿. This layer of protection will keep your hair from being impacted by chlorine.

𝘏𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘴𝘸𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭𝘴!

𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲!

This is one of my favorite weekend’s of the year! I always spend the day at one of my favorite places…TᕼE ᒪᗩKE. ❤️

𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬!

I’m moving suites on Monday! It’s bitter suite because I’ve grown so much in suite 206. I’ve loved every minute of creating a fun, relaxing environment for you all. But now I get to do it again and I’m so pumped!!

𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚖𝚊𝚢 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚗 𝚋𝚎 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎 𝚗𝚎𝚠 𝚜𝚞𝚛𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚜𝚎𝚜… 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚊 𝚐𝚘𝚛𝚐𝚎𝚘𝚞𝚜 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚎𝚛!? 😉 ✨

I’m still located at @bluskycorbin. 💫The new room is bigger and has a window! It will be perfect for grabbing photos of you beautiful babes!

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐈’𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝟐𝟑𝟒!

𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫

This is something I have to tell myself over and over again.

Some parts of 𝓈𝑒𝓁𝒻-𝒸𝒶𝓇𝑒, like exercise and eating healthy come natural to me, but other parts do not - such as 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭.

I’ve been working really hard at 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 the last few months! When I’m having a challenging time with it, I like to remind myself of this saying.

Which part of 𝓈𝑒𝓁𝒻-𝒸𝒶𝓇𝑒 is 𝚎𝚊𝚜𝚒𝚎𝚜𝚝 and 𝚖𝚘𝚜𝚝 𝚍𝚒𝚏𝚏𝚒𝚌𝚞𝚕𝚝 for you?
