I spent 11+ years and 15,000+ hours as a trauma therapist watching this play out in people. My purpose in guiding people to the most authentic, healed version of themselves doesn’t stop at the therapy room door — it extends into the products they put on their body and use in their homes every day. Bakuchiol vs retinol: a plant compound matched retinol for wrinkles in a clinical trial — with less peeling, redness, and irritation.

Here’s the part most brands skip: that result only holds at the right concentration. The 2019 study used 0.5%. A lot of products come in under that and still borrow the “works like retinol” claim. (Ours is 1% — the top of the range the research supports.)

Honest caveat, because you deserve one: it was a single 12-week trial of 44 people. Strong evidence, not settled science — retinol still has decades more behind it. We’d rather tell you that than sell you certainty.
