We had great guesses on what our newest product is - it’s not deodorant (that is in our top 5 coming out soon!❤️)

It is our Sunguard Protectant Stick! It’s the same ingredients as our classic Sunguard whipped tallow that we introduced last year, but in a stick form with added sea buckthorn oil known for additional UV Protection. We’re so excited to offer it to you as an all natural alternative to traditional sunscreen! It should hit the shelves next week!

What are common skincare myths out there that may generate fear and drive sales for the skincare industry?

At Three Cedars Farmhouse, our main mission is to provide information and support you in enhancing your knowledge of what's in your skincare products in order to care for your overall wellness. We are going to talk straight and inform our friends about how to care for your skin, whether you use TCF products or something else.

🌲Common Skincare Myth #1: There is a "magic bullet" product that fixes everything.

Healthy skin isn't created by one miracle ingredient, cream or serum. Skin health really begins from the inside out: gut health, hydration, nutrient-rich foods, quality sleep, stress management, and movement all play important roles in supporting healthy skin.
🌲Common Skincare Myth #2: Products that claim they are "all natural" are only made with organic, natural ingredients.

In the skincare industry, "All-natural" can mean many different things. That is why it's so important to read the label and know what's in your skincare. We will cover specific Red Flag ingredients in a later post for you.

For TCF, it means choosing ingredients that are as close to nature as possible while maintaining safety and effectiveness. We love using:
🌿 Locally raised, grass fed beef tallow and lard
🌿Plant oils and butters
🌿 Botanical extracts and herbal infusions
🌿 Essential oils when appropriate
🌿 Hydrosols and flower waters
🌿 Naturally derived preservatives, including:
• Radish Root Ferment Filtrate (Radish Root Ferment)
• Lactobacillus Ferment
• Fermented Coconut-derived ingredients

🌿 Natural antioxidants like:
• Vitamin E
• Rosemary Oleoresin Extract

🌲Common Skincare Myth #3: All fragrances added to skincare are synthetic.

Fragrances can be created with synthetic scents, but also can be created with essential oil blends as well as hydrosols and plant extracts that are free of parabens, phthalates, and sulfates. Careful research and selection should be considered when fragrances are used in body products. Essential oils should be used, if any, in facial products for medicinal properties.

Healthy skin is about consistency—not perfection. Again, there is no one perfect product or silver bullet. Just daily habits, nourishing ingredients, and caring for the body God gave us. 💚
