Some lashes will make you wonder if you actually know what you’re doing.

You tape the lid.

The lower lashes still won’t stay out of the way.

You change the shield.

Now the skin is touching where your solution needs to go.

You reposition everything.

Still nope.

And eventually you’re staring at a set of lashes thinking, “I genuinely don’t know how I’m going to lift these.”

I’ve been there.

The first time I attempted this lift, I spent almost 20 minutes just trying to create a setup I felt safe working with.

I couldn’t.

So I stopped and gave myself time to THINK.

When he came back, I used a flat shield with my Korean method. It solved the problem I couldn’t solve the first day and I was able to lift his lashes.

Then came his second lift.

This time I used a hybrid shield with JuJu Balm.

Completely different method.

And it was SO much easier. So much faster.

Because I wasn’t meeting his lashes for the first time anymore.

I understood them.

That might be one of the biggest things experience has taught me.

The lashes that stump you today aren’t proof that you don’t know enough.

Sometimes they’re the lashes that make you learn the most.

And don’t overlook the “easy” ones either.

Every lift teaches you something about how THAT person’s lashes behave.

The goal isn’t to get so experienced that nothing ever stumps you.

It’s to never stop paying attention to what the lashes in front of you are teaching you.
