This was 2016. People will come into the barber/stylist game thinking it’s easy. S**t they don’t teach you at school you must watch ask questions and learn them on your own. Men/women will see the money/cars/ houses and others think yes I can do that. Well I’m here to tell you yes anyone can do what they put their mind too. You must put the work and time in. You must hustle wake up early stay late. Pass out cards. Talk to people. Have people leave google reviews. Do a good job so people refer you. Stop rushing the process. Take your time on a client hair. Clients don’t want to feel rushed. Don’t charge clients for every lil thing you do especially the loyal clients who been riding with you forever. A loyal client wants a beard trim or a line up it’s no need to charge them. They want enhancements it’s no need to charge them. It’s coming back in the tip. Because understand this a client doesn’t have to tip you. Another thing people who want to become barber/stylists they don’t see the long hours of standing up all day. They don’t see the slow days. They don’t see the long conversations. They don’t see the times you have to be a therapist and counselor. They don’t understand all the s**t you have to pay for in this game.
