I think one of the harder things to teach your kid is that you won’t always feel like putting in the work to get where you want to be. That lesson isn’t covered in ANY of the parenting books they give you at your baby shower!

I still have days when I need that reminder myself… And when I’m encouraging my son to show up anyway, I have to remember he’s watching how I handle those days, too.

Talk about putting the pressure on yourself. 🫣

It starts with little things now, but that lesson will stay with him long after he stops looking to Mom and Dad to help him make choices that keep him on track with his goals!

That whole “it gets easier when they get older” theory? I’m not buying it anymore! 😆

We just wrapped up another weekend packed with sports… that followed a week packed with sports! 🏀 + ⚾️

Thursday had us at tryouts for another team and I’m honestly praying Dawson makes it. I know that sounds like absolute insanity to half of y’all… and it is! 😂

BUT at the end of the day I would much rather cart my kiddo to practices, games and tournaments than spend my evenings begging him to come out of his bedroom to spend time with us because he’s glued to his computer.

All because of sports, my son wants to be around his friends, he wants to get out of the house and play, he wants to eat healthy, he wants to practice and get stronger for his team … and I want to keep making that possible for him!

Of course the running around is a lot sometimes, but when he’s asking to try out for another team, I’m glad that’s what he wants to spend his time doing.

My favorite thing to say to anyone that says “oh my gosh how do you do it?” Is —>
Just tell me when and where and I’ll make it happen! 🙃

Last year, I bought a washer and dryer for Flourish’s new location. We finally got them hooked up, and that’s when I realized every single setting was in Spanish.

Surprise!!! I’m learning Spanish this year so we aren’t accidentally washing everything on “hot, hot, extra spin…”

Nothing says “I’ve got this” like standing in front of a brand-new washer and dryer set, completely humbled by a language barrier, wondering, “can I claim this on the warranty?” 🙃🙃🙃
